M A friend of mine has a LG phone (not sure of the model)
She has a USB cable to connect the phone to the PC.

She has pictures on the phone that she want to put on the PC but when the USB lead is connected she gets the message come up on the phone 'Insert external memory'

Can anyone tell me what this means? As i said she has pictures on the phone already but doesn't seem to be able to get them onto the PC.

Presumably she has the phone set to Mass Memory and no memory card inserted. Try with PC Suite and the phone in PC Suite mode.
