Nice. In over 35 countries.
Covering phone calls, texts and picture messages. Not covering data though. |

I would like to go VF PAYG as the wife is on a VF contract and could add my number to her VF family , so ringing her is free but 20p / 10p charges seem excessive to ring/text other peeps thanks for any info |

I'm going to Spain on 2nd June.
I'm with o2 simplicity (£20 a month) at the moment. Unless they match the offer soon, I will probably switch to Vodafone PAYG. |

Does not seem such a good deal to me , after checking basic prices 20p pm , 10 p text , what am i missing ?
I would like to go VF PAYG as the wife is on a VF contract and could add my number to her VF family , so ringing her is free but 20p / 10p charges seem excessive to ring/text other peeps thanks for any info Free Weekends- Spend £5 from monday to friday and get free weekend calls and texts, that includes upto an hour to another network. Text Unlimited - Spend £5 per month get free weekday evening texts. Spend £10 per month get free weekday evening and weeking texts Spend £30 per month and get unlimted texts all day every day. Alternatively instead of putting on a standard top up you could get more for your money by converting it to a freedom pack. £10 gets you 100 minutes and 300 texts £15 gets you 200 minutes and 600 texts £20 gets you 300 minutes and UNLIMITED texts! So whether you are a texter or talker, there is a deal to be had! No other network offers that kind of value for PAYT customers.

Does this include data roaming or just texts and minutes?
Seems good. Would be great if O2 did something similar then you would be able to use your iPhone normally wherever you go without being charged a fortune. I wish all network operators would abolish roaming charges permanently especially in the global world we live in. I find it ridiculous that you have to pay roaming charges just to go to Ireland. |

Hardly "Abolished", if you roam on to any network other than the partner network you will still be charged roaming rates.
Plus you have to make sure you are opted in to qualify. |

you don't need to be on the partner networks.
you need to be in in as much as you need to enable vodafone passport. under the old system vodafone passport meant you could pay 75p to connect the call then use your home tariff. you could not have vodafone passport and it could potentially be cheaper for shorter calls. the way they've implemented it is to drop the 75p to 0p. IIRC correctly new customer were given the option of passport or not, so you didn't need so much to be opted in anymore than you needed to opt out. anywho, to check if you are in or out and indeed to get in Pay as you go – Text PASSPORT to 2345. Pay monthly - Text PASSPORT to 97888. not too much to ask since it is being advertised all over the place.

Oh it is by far the best, our basic Simply tariff is 20p per minute, anytime, any network. Now there are several different options you could choose to add to that for no extra cost.
Free Weekends- Spend £5 from monday to friday and get free weekend calls and texts, that includes upto an hour to another network. Text Unlimited - Spend £5 per month get free weekday evening texts. Spend £10 per month get free weekday evening and weeking texts Spend £30 per month and get unlimted texts all day every day. Guys you need to remember that you need to be opted in for VF Passport or you WILL be charged roaming rates. They have simply scrapped the 75p connection charge usually charged by VF PP.

Vodafone aren't going to offer something for nothing, especially at a time when all companies are looking to cut its costs. |

They have abolished the 75p connection charge for an incoming call there is no charge for the hour after that usually anyway. You're online obviously already so why don't people jump onto the VF website and read the T&Cs for themselves before reading misinformation and moaning about it when there is no need?
