'Fresh' mobile ????

There is a very low cost mobile network called 'Fresh' from the carphone warehouse. I was astounded that my mum only got a bill for £5.80 this month, despite being a medium level user.

I've thought of moving to them, but I want to know 'what the catch' is. Surely for a service that cheap it needs to have poor network coverage, or be difficult to get out of or something. Anyone know???

Fresh Mobile is a top-up based PAYG offering from CPW, not sure what you mean by a bill for £5.80 as that implies she's on contract.

The catch is, that it's a CPW product. For me it was also the fact that it used T-Mobile (may suit some, but not me)

I had poor customer service experience with them many moons ago, when they competed with the now defunct easymobile.

I seem to recall it was something to do with a minimum credit that had to be made to the account on a particular interval. They claimed I was in breach and charged me a penalty fee, then decide to chase me up for it. Despite the fact that I had called to cancelled the service in writing by registered post as required by their (then) T&C's (therefore not needing to credit the account).

Anyway it was that long ago, that I don't even think they offer that pricing model anymore.

Being CPW, I doubt things have improved in terms of CS, which shouldn't be a big problem, if you don't ever need to call them (a bit like TalkTalk, fine when things are working)

Fresh used to offer a monthly DD based product but don't offer this to new customers anymore, infact Fresh as a whole doesn't accept new customers as the network was replaced by Talk Mobile.
