I remember in CBB4, the quirky friendship that developed between Maggot and Traci Bingham, virtually none of which was ever shown on the h/ls, presumably because their long chats weren't considered 'exciting' enough. Without the LF, viewers would have been none the wiser. There is no way the lack of round the clock coverage can fail to kill the show stone dead.

BB for me was being able to watch H/MS whenever i wanted around the clock 24/7
How they expect us to get to know their true personalities with just a h/l show and a few hours in the middle of the night i don't know, and it's for this reason i've got no interest in this years BB, as BB without a live feed just is'nt BB and if that makes me sad with no life then so be it

I shall miss LF, I think with this being the 10th anniversary of the show, they should bow down and reinstate the LF for all us fans who have watched in the last 10 years. BB without LF is just not BB. It's sad to think we won't have the chance to get to know the HM's properly, only just what they want to show us.I thought they said back in January when they cut LF for CBB, that it would definitly be back for the Summer BB, or perhaps I heard wrong. All very sad a summer without LF, might as well be a summer without strawberries and cream or Summer holidays.

I used to watch BB online all day and night for the time C4 allowed us that is, but it was FREE for around 18 months, then C4 wanted a bit of the action, and CLOSED Free net viewing, and those who could afford to pay for it did so, but I couldn't afford it, so Had to watch the H/Ls on C4, which was better than nothing in those days. Then watched it online using Real Player and that was FREE for a time, until they introduced Premium Rates and that was it for me.

Only way I could see BB was via the H/Ls show on C4 and watched it avidly as I was a BB fan. But when I became a member of C4 BB General forum, I started reading LF from fms like AOTN, and stayed reading them all the time. It was AOTN who told me the difference between LF and what C4 were showing in their H/Ls show, and you could see the BIG difference, and after that I became an avid LF reader, but watched H/Ls to see what they didn't show, which was quite a lot.

There were many C4 forumers who only wanted to watch the H/Ls and dissed the fms who wanted to see the Full picture, and we had big rows about it. But if people want to watch BB in a Half life, then that's up to them, but seeing the FULL picture is what BB is all about.

I became a Lutter and typed everything I saw, or as much I could in my own way, but didn't make it up, as that isn't my style, also no point in making up stuff as it's dishonest.

Some folks think BB fans don't have a life, but if they thought deeply about it, not everyone has a job, and some can't work through disability, and what BB gave me was a sense of belonging to a community of people, where I could commune with them via what the HMs did. I enjoyed Lutting enormously, as I also got to know the HMs, and what made them tick.

If C4 are going to show a program where real, live people are involved then we need to have the full picture of them. If C4 want a Soap, then they could employ actors. and wouldn't need to look hard for them, as the UK has many actors. But BB isn't a Soap, and C4 have lost their direction thinking it is.

xxx”

Hi Dix. I remember Angel of the North and the great LUT threads. Watching LF waiting and arguing about how to interpret it.

That was real reality TV (until the Editors got their mitts on it!). Conversations and little bits, looks, whispers behind backs - most never seen by the majority - was what BB is all about for me.

I can't imageine an eviction without seeing the aftermath/immediate fallout and re-alignment of groupings.

If all they leave us is edited highlights and a couple of waking hours then BB as I knew and loved it has gone.

And a fine one too. If only C4 listened to their viewers rather than their marketing department (C4 CEO Andy Duncan having risen from that very department at the BBC, having previously marketed Flora margarine).

The worst thing is going to be watching the HM's spend their first night in the house and the next morning they're still in awe and shock. Then, at what 6am, the transmission goes off? These are just moments that the highlights won't be able to capture fully.

Indeed. It was always interesting to watch the HMs as they get to know each other and settle into the house. It frankly beggars belief that C4 are even going though the motions of putting BB10 on without the LF. I asked them how they could justify being the only BB in the world without round the clock coverage...and unsurprisingly received no reply.

That was the best part of BB for me. That first night / first morning of watching live feed, when the housemates get to know each other. It really helped me get to know the housemates and get in to the series. Now I can't even watch their first morning together

They better be late sleepers.

Oh, and I would post the reply I got from C4 to my complaint but I think you all know what it says. That was a pretty good rant as well, if I do say so myself. I think I shall send it to them quite often and hammer the message in to their heads. I shall also send it to the big bosses when I have some time. Not going down without a fight or at least a damn good moan. I will not stop until they meet our demands!

Go for it. I'm tired of big business not listening to its customers.

We are the true fans of Big Brother and they are selling us out.

I feel as though I've been done from behind and not even given a reach around.

Condolences to one and all - we have seen the dearth/death of LF.

Why oh why is Britain the only BB without 24/7 now?
