On all accounts Taylor rocked montreal to the ground last night in her first gig back after her illness, making up for lost time as she on all accounts said.

The lyrics written on taylors arm for last nights show were from bruce springsteens song When you're alone which if my memory serves me correct is on the tunnel of love album

From last night, Taylor doing a snippit of two songs from the two biggest rock artists ever to come out of NJ.

How I wish she had made these covers longer.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0sombuG7keQ

From the night before.

Living on a prayer and the full version of you belong to me.
Great guitar solo by Grant as she struggles to get back to the stage walking through the crowd.
And have a listen to 10's of thousands of people singing back to her as one, as she lets the crowd sing, sounds amazing.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L-WQPY2OlQE

Back to december and better then revenge, with the full rock guitar jam by Grant and Paul at the end fo the song, amazing.

But what was the award that she was not nominated for.

Nominations for pointless awards are two a penny anyway, most are not worth the time of day for her even to attend.
Its when you look at the vids of her live, thats the most important thing she does, rocking out hundreds of thousands of people across the world.

Taylor gives quarter of a million dollars to Nicks Kids charity

http://capstonereport.com/2011/07/21...ks-kids/12679/

"We are so grateful that such a talented and successful young person is thoughtful enough to do something to make a positive impact on those who need it most. Taylor deserves a big Roll Tide from our community and we sincerely thank her for joining the team at Nick’s Kids.”
Taylor has now donated over a million dollars this year alone to charity.

OK, didn't know that. I doubt she will loose any sleep over it.

I do like TSOU video, like the silly parts the band members play.

Yep, I was there and indeed it was truly amazing!! Bit of a surprise that she performed those two songs. For once a song got topped You Belong With Me in terms of the atmosphere in the Prudential Center when signing Living On A Prayer. Expected something as a couple of days earlier she done a Canadian Medley at the Air Canada Center and although the song choices left a lot to be desired it got an equally great reception.

Pretty crazy how much more production went into these shows than her short UK stint earlier in the year. Pyro, dancers & huge sets, all and all a pretty amazing show she put on and I don't care what anyone else says, her voice is definitely improving (Although I concede she has a long way to go to catch up with certain other ladies in the genre).

Just now trying to decide whether to catch her at the 100,000 Cowboy Stadium in Dallas or the newly renovated Madison Square Garden later in the year,

Pleased you enjoyed the shows, the snippits of cover songs she has been doing for a few gigs now, I think she started it is canada.
Most people who say she cant sing are the usual taylor haters, anyone who has seen her live knows that not the case. Her voice is not perfect but thats what makes her so real in my eyes.
Not to sure about the dancers, I know they only appear on some of the songs but think they distract from her too much, some songs they work others they dont.
I know she is trying to give value for money but dont think she needs to stoop down to the plastic pop artist level and do this sort of thing, hope she changes it on her next tour, there has been a mixed reaction to it.
What a dilemma either the Dallas cowboy stadium or MSG in manhattan, my advice go to BOTH!!

I remember seeing a tweet from either Paul, Grant or Amsos (cant remember which now) saying they have played to almost 3/4 million people so far on this tour, amazing. But she played to well over 60,000 in the UK and Ireland alone plus the stadiums you can see how it soon mounts up.

This guy is a great taylor blogger, he has a page on his website with video's of all the covers T has done, not sure if its every one but a good selection.

My first post and i thought i have it in here. I have been reading the forums from the start of the year and it really baffles me, how UK people love to hate on Taylor. I think she is an incredible talent. Performer, songwriter, producer, musician etc, etc, etc. If that is not talent then i do not understand how they can stan for Rihanna and Kesha with a straight face. Nothing against them, though. But, come on...

btw i am a 30-year old guy....i understand that her songs are not exactly written for someone like me to relate, but they are incredibly catchy and all-around well-written pieces and she is so beautiful. I live in Eastern-Europe so lets not be too hard on my English.

So i`ll just sit by you in camp-swift if you do not mind, geordielady.

And...good luck to Taylor today! I am sure people will love the show. Judging by the youtube clips its a really cool production!

Welcome to the small taylor fan club on DS, I think your member number 6

Not sure why people dis taylor here, but if you look at the artists the majority of the posts are about on the forum, they are not the sort of artists whose fans would appreciate someone like taylor are they.

I think taylor is the most gifted and talented female artist to hit the music scene for many, many years. When you consider her age and what she hads achieved its pretty impressive to put it mildly. She also goes about things without having to do anything to gain attention or to bump up sales, would guess one of the most respected musicians around today.

Yep taylor is playing in a stadium in her home state tonight, guess thats gonna be very special for her. Interesting what her arm lyrics are tonight and what artists from philly she will do her acoustic cover of. Cant think of any artists from philly apart from her.

From Taylor on twitter just before she went on stage

"Philly... You look pretty http://t.co/XHYzWiZ"

70,000 fans packed in to see one of the greatest artists on the planet currently making music.

Has any other 21 year old artist ever achieved this, I doubt it.
Most artists would give anything to be able to do this just once in their lifetime, but for taylor its stadium number 7 on this tour alone.

Already an existing one here, considering she is of of the most talented artists on the planet it only has around 6 members who post there

http://forums.digitalspy.co.uk/showt...t=taylor+swift

BTW Where possible we try to keep the name kayne west out of the taylor swift appreciation thread we have high standards to maintain in the Taylor nation no need to discuss lesser beings.

Good article thanks for posting the link, dont agree with everything he says as he is doing a bit of guesswork especially the personal things he is saying about her but calling her a "monstrous talent" is somewhere close to the truth
