Taylors haunted will be used in an up and coming episode of the TV series True Blood.
Taylors management and record label said no way but taylor has overruled them and the song is now going to be used. Guess it proves who wears the trousers in the taylor camp.

Must be pretty rare for a artist to overrule a record label as well, shows how much respect CEO scott borchetta must have for Taylor.

Yeah...they better have respect. Taylor really made them big.
Although i see them getting lazy lately. This "Speak Now" era has been handled so wrong IMO.

Taylor getting rave reviews for LA concerts, and as pointed out in the article Taylor’s Speak Now album is the #1-selling album in all genres of music over the past 12 months.

GL- So I'm going to see your favorite tomorrow night. Just so you know, I always keep an open mind, have never regretted going to a bad show (they truly have to suck for me to wish my time back!) and I always keep the bar lowered on certain concerts. I see around 50 shows a year and I will be able to compare this girl to Gaga, Hayley, Alison, Kylie, Katy, Rhi, Britney, Beyonce, Sade, Pink, Celine, Martha Davis, Ann Wilson, Bette, and Barbara. And of course, the best vocalist I have ever seen live, Adele. In fact, I just saw Adele last week and those shows are fresh in my mind. So I'm ready to be knocked off my feet by Taylor. I will be sure to get back to you after the show!

Edit: Oh, and Natalie Maines from the Dixie Chicks (if we need to keep it in country music).

Obviously not seen many females sing live have we, Dido's voice knocks the spots off adele without her even trying and she dont sound like Mick Hucknell on helium either.
And Anne Wilson of heart, you cant even start to compare adele to her.

I await with baited breath your unbias review on Taylor's concert.

They do miss out. I've not been able to see Taylor live but a friend of mine went to see her in Manchester, she phoned me when Taylor was singing You Belong With Me, I could just make out the chorus over the screams

Sh!t, I forgot Dido! I saw her at Lilith Fair years ago. She was really good!
I can say, I have never forgotten an Adele show. It's more than just her voice, it's her personality also. Maybe if you took the time to see her live for once you would be in a position to judge, unbiasedly.

You keep saying that hilarious Mick Hucknell on helium joke. It wasn't funny the first time I saw it, and it still isn't.

Someone told me it was okay to knock an artist but not a forum member. Since I won't knock an artist I'll let reviews speak for me.

[i]Highlights:
All of this – in the current, sluggish record-buying market – is quite insane and flies in the face of the received wisdom that the glory days of record sales are gone forever. Judging by what Taylor Swift, Adele and Katy Perry are currently doing to the record books these are the glory days of record sales. The spend, though, is far more concentrated than it was in the pre-Napster days and is congregating around just a handful of acts – all of them female. Where’s David Icke when you need him?

But – there’s always a but – when The Beatles or Michael Jackson broke a global sales record it was really not that surprising. Both acts were truly exceptional – imbued with once-in-a-generation genius and as feted today (if not more so) as they were when they were active.

Leaving Adele aside (because she doesn’t really suit my argument), you cannot by any stretch of a fevered imagination make the case that Taylor Swift and Katy Perry are recording artists who will still be bought and talked about decades after they cease releasing. You could go even further and say that their record-breaking albums Speak Now and Teenage Dream don’t possess any real artistic merit.

That doesn’t detract from what Swift and Perry have achieved (and it’s truly remarkable) but one would have hoped that when records set by The Beatles and Michael Jackson did fall, they’d be broken by people other than a sugary country-pop artist and a slightly-grown-up-girl-band-sounding singer.

Edit: I've seen Heart many times. Her voice is incredible, but she never, ever connects with the audience. I see them in spite of that. Adele puts on a much, much better show. And Ann's voice isn't better than Adele's, they are distinctly different.

Never ever said she sounded like mick hucknall on helium before, so whoever said that must think along the same lines as me.

So the views of some critic is gospel is it. The fact that he mentions katy perry and taylor swift in the same sentence proves his views are about as accurate as Donald Duck reviewing a nuclear physics seminar
When adele is long gone and forgotton Taylor will still be there making music, singers are two a penny but talented songwriters are worth their weight in gold.

You are the only one who has mentioned Mick Hucknall and Adele in the same sentence. And more than once, as you well know.

Anything valid you might have to say is lost in your biased views about musicians you have never even seen live. If you don't like someone, don't listen. Simple. Your bashing of Adele is nothing more than immature bitterness because someone is more successful than your favorite.
But wait, you define success different than most.
As you say, sales mean nothing to "big acts" and filling up an arena with spoiled American tweens is the ultimate barometer on success. :

Your the one coming into a taylor swift appreciation thread talking about Adele no one is interested in adele in this thread why mention her.

And how is adele more popular then taylor swift I really want to know how you work that one out.
Whatever adeles sales figures are speak now is still the biggest selling album in all genres of music over the past 12 Months

Adele is much bigger than TS, and her songs will be remembered in years to come, which wouldn't be difficult as I don't know any TS songs to forget.

So this is a mine is better then yours opinion.

But onto the facts.....
TS has sold well in excess of 22M+ albums now and has played to almost 2M people on the speak now tour, speak now is also the biggest selling album in the last 12 months.
Adele is a "tesco's artist", taylor swift has a dedicated fan base of millions and is selling out 70K stadiums on tour.
I dont think I need to say much else about who is the bigger artist do I
If you wanna start comparing Taylor to other artists in terms of who is biggest you need to bring someone a bit bigger then Adele to the table.

So if nobody knows Taylor in the UK how did she manage to play to almost 80,000 people in the UK, thats the sign of a sensational artist when they can go to a country where no one buys their records or knows any of their songs but can still sell out all the big venues.
