iPhone Help Please
I am getting my iPhone next week and wanted to see if anyone could answer the following...
1. My daughter has an iPod touch and we have iTunes on the PC, will i still be able to use the PC for my iPhone and is it as simple as plugging it in, iTunes recognises it and I then register a new iTunes account using a different email address etc than the one for my daughters iPod? 2. When setting up email on the iphone, if I already have a google mail account is it as simple as typing in the details of that into the iphone (along with the pop server details for google mail) and hey presto i can pick up my emails on it? cheers in advance |

1. Yes: Both of you should create a seperate playlist with your own music in etc . .(outside the library part) and when you plug your iPhone in select sync from "X's Playlist".
2. Yes, Google mail is supported by the default Maill app |

If you have got it add the £57. 8gb fills up extremely quickly

Yeah it will work correctly, the only thing I'd change from another poster is to use iTunes in a different user account. That way you don't have to mess around with playlists and which iTunes account bought which song or who is spending the money!

I would also recommend going to your GMail settings and turning on IMAP. On your iPhone you just select GMail and put in your Google Account and Password and it will give you IMAP. IMAP is better than POP because it you read/delete an email on your iPhone with POP then it will not show as read/deleted anywhere else you access GMail. IMAP syncs all these different statuses of messages so if you read a message it marks the message as read to the server so if you go on GMail on your computer the message will be marked as read there as well.
