Lame claim to fame time - who knows an Apprentice?

I don't know what it is about The Apprentice that seems to feature so heavily in my extended friend/family circle.

Boyfriend's younger brother was at school with Adam Hosker. My sister once threw a box of crayons at James Max's mum - hit her square on the arse. I've literally just discovered to my delight that a friend of a friend is friends with James' (from this series) uncle's gay partner - possibly pushing the definition of "know" to its outermost limits I admit Also am related (not closely) to Syed Ahmed - I can only apologise profusely on behalf of the extended family. And most awe-inspiring of all - my half-second-cousin ate at one of Rocky's sarnie joints on Thursday. Bet you're all jealous.

Anybody else?

I went to the same uni as Kate and graduated the same year. Didn't really know her, know her. We didn't do the same course but had a few lectures together. It did take me ages to figure out why she so was so familiar though. but yeah, no real exciting connection.

What an awful thing to happen to someone. I hope he or she is on the mend!

He's someone I'm undecided upon even after his exit. I loathed him in the show, but liked him in the show he got kicked out on. Never changed my mind so far as to think he would win or should win. but didn't like his character either for all the weeks except when he left. he gained some brownie points from me as well for the way he stuck up for Kate in the boardroom. Not the most intelligent thing for him to be doing as she was his competition, but it did show his sweeter side and he seemed more aware of his faults and a different person on the you are fired show. Even his interview in heat was sweet. but still can't work out if these interviews in mags are a good thing and a door to fame for him. Another part of me thinks he did it to get a payout to afford a deposit on a house in london, which would at least be understandable to me in a recession.

My son's friend claims to have seen Lorraine at a local David Lloyd club. Out for a quick game of doubles possibly?

My dad and stepmum work closely with Ansell (S2) at the moment on private ventures - I've yet to meet him, but imagine I will eventually. They're quite good friends it seems now, even put him up for the night! How odd...

I know James from work and he is a sound guy in real life! A lot more capable than the show makes out, incredibly helpful and just generally a nice guy.

I saw Alex Wotherspoon in the outdoor Jacuzzi at David Lloyd in Bolton whilst last year's apprentice was being screened. (He hadn't been sacked by then )

I posted on a thread of someone whose sister tried to chat up Ben.

Does that count?

Philip works at the same estate agents that we rent our house from and we've spotted him at our local a couple of times.

I hope you get to meet Ansell soon - if you do, you might also be able to meet his double-act partner, Paul Tulip!

I have e-mailed James Max some questions about the programme a few times - and he's responded each time! He really is a very nice, intelligent guy.

Simon Ambrose invited me to one of his parties 18 months ago, where I also met Tre. I then bumped into Simon again a few weeks ago in Green Park, and he was just about to go to California... Very pleasant chap.
