Did anyone else attempt to record this? (I know I am officially 'sad')!!
Anyway we settled down to watch it this morning and it had stopped recording after 2 hrs - at the end of the performances (sic) and before voting. Ive only just bought the Humax havoing loved the freeview version and this was forst major recording on HD so less than happy at the moment. Unless of course it was me and Ive doen something sillY?? Any ideas? |

Any ideas? I wonder if mine was because I only set it up to record part 1 which finished at 10pm? I had assumed it would be a single program and not split into 2 parts as it seems to have been for some reason.. http://www.bbc.co.uk/bbchd/programme...les/2009/05/16 Patrick |

According to the SkyHD Forum the EPG entry was split in two. Was it changed at the last minute on freesat?
Link post#5 on Also the BBC website has it listed in 2 parts as well. BBC HD Schedule Edit: Snap

I thought that the FoxSat HDR was able to cope with programmes that were in two parts. I too lost the second half although when I set up the recording, I didn't realise the EPG entry was split in two.

It was indeed listed as two unrelated programmes, not even a series.
I only spotted it because I noticed the BBC One entry was longer. Sadly my sound worked fine all the way through. |

Mine recorded both parts.
When I selected it in the EPG on 108 BBC HD (not from BBC1 where it also offered HD), it asked me if I wanted to record the Series. I couldn't understand why, until I saw later that it was 2 programmes. Selecting Series Recording, flagged both programmes to record. Don't know why they did it this way, and not just 1 continuous programme. Rgds. Les. |

Hi from the Sky HD forum, This is the reply I got regarding the issue. It seems they are trying to incorrectly blame the service provider for it being a split entry on the EPG. Quote:
Thanks for your e-mail regarding 'The Eurovision Song Contest 2009' broadcast on 16 May.
The EPG listings are only set up by us on the Freeview service, meaning we'd no control over how your television provider, for example Sky or Virgin, arranged the EPG during the Eurovision. To query this further I recommend you contact your HD television provider. I'd like to take this opportunity to assure you that I've recorded your comments onto our audience log. This is an internal daily report of audience feedback which is circulated to many BBC staff including senior management, producers and channel controllers. The audience logs are seen as important documents that can help shape decisions about future programming and content. Thanks again for contacting us. Regards |
