it stopped archiving over 2 years ago, but that might just be that they stopped archive.org reaching it.

http://web.archive.org/web/200612072...cbfmobile.com/

It also has invalid whois information, enough to get their domain blocked if it was reported, a phone number of +447000000000

It's hosted at Fasthosts.

Never heard of the site personally, from looking at the archive it seemed to sell ringtones mainly, which is now a saturated market, so I would imagine the webmaster packed it in when it wasn't making much money.

Yeah i was thinking that because it sells just old operator logos, mono ringtones and polytones that they decided to pull the plug. People don't use the phones that everyone used to download them for back in the day, people use MP3 capable phones now so they'll have that instead of the old ringtones. MP3 Ringtones, wallpaper, themes etc is something it has never offered. This seems to be the most likely reason it has gone down and doesn't seem to be coming back.

Other reasons include...

Can't pay for hosting anymore

They might have got themselves into trouble somehow

Such as some kind of illegal content on the site and got closed down

Not many visitors anymore...

The forums were pretty dead once this type of mobile content went out of fashion as did the old Nokia's etc that support this content.

It has been down for the best part of 6 months so my guess is its been closed down because noone was using it.
