BTW - alot of Aidan threads today. I understand people might be annoyed at Simn for his comments, but it wasn't THAT big a deal? I think Aidan's tears came mostly from the fact that he was knackered and was under alot of stress and not mainly because Simon gave him a negative comment.

I wonder that, he looked totally worn out after he'd finished before anyone said anything, I think it was going to happen anyway but he was trying to keep it in until he got offstage but Simon's comment tipped him over the edge.

Eesh. It's too much for a young kid, it'd have been much easier and less stressful if he was on an earlier semi-final, not the Friday one!

The stylists on these shows need sacked. That blue cardigan and white trouser look didn't suit Aidan at all, it made him look much younger and smaller.

It didn't make him look younger, the fact he's so slight does that anyway. He looks about nine.

I agree about the white trouser look. White is not the best colour if you have short legs.

As for the percentage, i'm sure there's a thread on it here? Apparently he finished above 2 Grand, Hollie and Flawless (7th).

I really liked him. He seemed such a sweet lad and all three of his performances were brilliant. There were 4 acts I'd like to have seen win and he was one of them - he would have deserved it imo. He's going to have a good future ahead of him and has so much potential - he's miles better than last year's winner yet 3-4 years younger.

Simon was a little harsh last night but he did at least acknowledge that Aiden had such little time to form a new routine.

Voting percentages are being published tomorrow. Hopefully they're different from the ones posted on here!

Doesn't matter if it is. He is clearly a very determined, intelligent, talented child - to get in the top 10 (which he has) of a major talent show with something you have taught yourself from scratch to do is a phenomenal achievement and one he should be immensely proud of, however it has no shelf life, there was so little Simon could do with George last year, a few video clips and then he released that awful single... Aidan is a guitarist in at least one band, and a lot of children who can play instruments can sing as well - can Aidan sing? He can probably watch videos of Shaheen and learn if he can't We also know he had a black belt in karate at nine... Maybe he could break dance whilst singing and playing his guitar and wearing karate kit

He wasn't going to win it, so how far down he came doesn't matter much, but it would be nice to know.

Sadly, he wasn't as good as he was in the semi finals (understandably so, since he was clearly utterly shattered by then and had less than 24 hours before he was on again) and when Simon was honest and told him so - he wasn't even rude about it - then he couldn't keep his tears in any more (he looked like he was about to cry for a while before that) and the public had already had to deal with a crying child on TV the night before and in this case it probably didn't help him especially as he's two years older!

It's certainly a name to watch out for, he has a big future and he seems like a level-headed lad, not the chav mugging people someone said here!

It's amazing that a young man like him has such a strong will of determination. He must have incredible patience - I know plenty of people much older than him that would have no patience nor will power to teach themselves something. I was actually thinking that he could do a sort of "dance lesson" thing, perhaps on YouTube.......maybe a silly idea, but alot of kids are probably wanting to copy Aidan and know how he taught himself the moves, so perhaps Aidan could post lesson videos on YT for his fans to teach themselves. (not me, though, of course!)

But yes, i'd like to see the voting figures, it's a bit of a slap in the face that acts like Stavros Flatley apparently got more votes than Aidan......at least on the percentages posted on here.

In his own right he is fantastic really liked his performance and him, what a great kid, I feel he will succeed

how many more people are going to keep using that excuse, in regards to aiden, the auditions where 3 months ago, more than enough time to get 2 different routines together in case he needed 2, he was good andi liked him, but he should have had 2 routines up his sleeve, and even by your own statement, he still had enough time to get 2 routines together, as he would have been told last saturday what day he was going to be in the semi

George Sampson didn't even bother learning a different routine for the final and he wasn't as good as Aidan IMO. :sleep:

He did, he wasn't allowed to do it because of technical problems. But as he was Simon's chosen one he never got criticised for it.

Great! I agree it was one of the performances of the series.

I honestly was dissapointed with about 80% of the acts. Only Aidan, Shaun ( in his semi-final), Sue Son, Diversity (final) and Shaheen actually impressed me. The rest were all hugeee let downs.

I knew Susan was nothing special, but still good, so she didn't let me down - Shaheen, Diversity and Aidan (even though he wasn't as good in the final) impressed me hugely.

On another note - guess he's back at school now, wonder how he's coping with the extra attention (and hope he's not being picked on for crying, kids do that sometimes).

I dunno......I was never keen on Susan to start with. I guess her type of singing doesn't really appeal to me. However she was a fantastic contestant and she's helped made this series what it was. I'm actually relieved for her that she didn't win. I was majorly let down with Flawless, however.

I'm sure he'll be fine at school. He seems like a popular kid (well, judging by his semi-final VT anyway, but who knows). I'm sure he'll be getting extra attention from the girls now that he's been on TV. *

* Oh and I can imagine he'll be getting tons of girls stopping him and asking for pictures, and messaging him on Facebook and such. Hopefully he can handle it all!

Girls: yeah. Someone set up some sort of unofficial fansite for him and if you look at the shoutbox it is full of comments from presumably teenage girls - there's some things on wiki answers aswell asking if anyone has his phone number or something which get closed off quickly... it's cringeworthy really, but then they fawned over George last year especially on here Let's hope he's out of the "ugh girls" stage practically every boy goes through - most are by 12, but let's not forget he looks about 9!

Though if he was as tired as he looked on Saturday and didn't have the chance to rest it off yesterday (they probably had to go home then anyway to get him ready for school) then I would be having today off... tiredness is practically illness anyway and I can't see him not catching up, that said he probably would drag himself there if he had to crawl :s Guess he will have to learn to say no a bit more.

Haha, yep i've seen the same sort of comments on his Facebook and Bebo groups. I tried explaining to one of the girls that it's unlikely he'd give out his mobile number or MSN to everyone but I got called a "****ing loser"!

Ooft, yes i'd be taking today off as well. By the way, the Britain's Got Talent tour, when exactly is it? Will it be cutting into Aidan (and the rest of the kids) school days?

He has enough with the kids at his school I would guess, and he probably knows them way better than just randoms, I don't give stuff like that out to people unless I know them and I guess his parents will tell him not to anyway! What are they going to do with it, text him with "omg aidan i luv u u r so fit"? It's madness.

I guess it will... They have to tour, and stuff, and it can't just be at weekends, even so for a Saturday gig they'd need to prepare on the day so they'd travel overnight at the latest, more likely the day before.

Year 7s can cope, probably give them something to do when they're travelling anyway, it isn't long and there is only a few weeks left of term, it's probably the older teens who have more crucial work to deal with and there aren't many of those - even the lad from Stavros Flatley turned 13 last week, and is presumably a year 8, Aidan and Shaheen are year 7 (and Shaheen is probably no stranger to missing school, they give him the work and he does it by himself) and apart from some of the kids in Diversity (one had GCSE Maths today) there aren't as many in that age bracket seemingly.
