I wanted a mobile with medium wave as well as FM

no such luck unless any one knows different

I really wanted MW for BBC five live

I have an Iphone and stream 5 live using Icar radio app.
also use fstream to to stream talksport. both work with normal 2g coverage

I'm a 5live fan too, I couldn't find a phone that does MW I'm guessing there just isn't the demand or there are technological difficulties (such as the type of aerial required or interference).

The only mobile phone I know that fits the bill is the Sony Ericsson R300 which has been specially designed to incorporate a decent FM & AM tuner.

just been looking at some prices on e-bay

prices are approx 50 quid,
it seems dirt cheap to me with FM/MW RDS and a radio recording facilty

thoughts any one

Looking at the specifications

0.3 MP camera
8 MB memory

I can see why those might put some people off and why it is now selling quite cheaply.

There's also the R306

If you're after MW and can do without the extra bumph most phones have these days, then you should be able to pick it up cheaply.
