that 500mb will let you use the full Internet on your phone stream radio stations and youtube.

You can also do a little of youtube and radio station streaming - but not a lot. As a test i just used the youtube app on my handset. I've just viewed 65 seconds of video and have used 2.6Mb of data. |

If the radio stations you want to listen to offer low bitrates, you can listen for substantially longer. I listen to Play 2 on a 20k stream on a fairly frequent basis and dont get anywhere near the 500mb...

On my phone I mainly use the internet to get email and use Facebook. I also occasionally use Last.fm, YouTube, casually browse the internet, Google Maps, Twitter and Flickr. I don't really keep track of my usage as I get unlimited. I also have an iPhone so I am not to sure what you can and can't do with other phones. Stuff like YouTube will depend on whether you have Flash or a separate app for it. I know Google Maps is available as a Java app which should work with most phones and most mobile browsers should work with Facebook, Bebo, and Gmail mobile websites because I know they work on my girlfriends Sony Ericsson.

I'm on 3 and have used my internet allowance on my phone to browse the web via my laptop, watch tv via slingplayer/bbc iplayer, make the odd skype call and the most I've ever used surprisingly is 267mb inside a billing month.
What I'd like to know is, what are the options if you go over on voda - can you buy extra data? |

What I'd like to know is, what are the options if you go over on voda - can you buy extra data? I stream internet for hours every week as I drive up and down the motorway, phone plugged into the car. Fantastic reception, better than DAB and great 128kbps quality. I have only gone over the 1 gig twice in 2 years and been sent a text to say I am getting close to my limit at which point I stopped using it until next month. Voda's FUP is really quite low at 500 meg, especially when they claim it's 'unlimited'. |
