Although not sure whats he done to warrent his staying.

Can't believe I'm saying anything in support of Ben, but that firing just makes no sense to me.

It's as if Sir Alan just thought "right, we've had enough good telly out of you." Because there's no way he had more responsibility for the failure of the task than Debra and James.

I suspect Ben has lost his "entertainment" value....

Not a shock for me tbh; from what I know/what they've said (which might not count for much), Debra & James both seem to have lots of actual team and/or management experience whereas Ben is the hotshot loner stockbroker with nothing but potential which never materialised.

He is crap at selling/customer interaction too.

Although I don't feel he has contributed much to last couple of tasks.

He went becuase he lied blatantly and refused to take reponsibility for the Horse, while at leat Debra did

Stupid decision, no way he should have been fired for this task.

What did he do to make it safe for him to stay?

Debra should have been fired this week - I can't believe she didn't go after what was said about her personality and attitude.

Firing Ben made no sense this week - he was not the most responsible for their failure this week. That was mostly down to Debra refusing to consider another product.

It's a shock he ever made it this far. I don't think the other two were more responsible than him - both Debra and Ben championed the horse, and James agreed to choose it as their item. But Ben has never justified his hype. He's spoke a lot of words but the actions speak louder - and he's been in the losing team a shockingly high amount of times.

Who cares, he was a complete prat who deserved to finally get shown he's not as good as he thinks.

Sir Alan to the boardroom three: Forget the past weeks, someone's gonna go based on this task

Discussions/arguments happen and it's clear that Debra is at fault for this task.

Sir Alan: Ben, you're fired.

Fool.

I am shocked, I thought James was gone, with all the difficult choice stuff from surallen. I got a very production value feel to tonight's firing, like it was supposed to be a shock.

Thrilled Ben went though. And it was the rocking horse, not the birthing pool that was the dud. And even that would have been ok if they could have offered a discount.

Please can the OP change the title of this thread to exclude the name of the fired candidate? I like reading spoilers but not everyone does and some people won't have watched the programme yet. Thanks

He's coming across really well on the aftershow. Almost humble.

I loathed him at times during this series but then at others, saw quite a vulnerable almost childlike quality that made him likeable. It's that quality I'm seeing now.

Ok, you can throw rotten fruit at me now.

Can someone explain to me how Ben going was a shock

He was perceived as one who would stay longer so he's out sooner than expected although like I say he has'nt warrented a longer stay for this task.

This happens a lot. With the time between being on the show > having watched past series > seeing how people/the media react to you > seeing yourself as others see you etc., it's a very pig-headed individual that walks onto You're Fired! showing no evidence of change.

I wasn't surprised he went to be honest. He bigged himself up way too much, but did he actually deliver? No, not really..

He hyped up his abilities, but what he actually displayed wasn't anything impressive.

Debra and James are far better candidates than him.

what a joke episode all debra had to do was say yes to the sale of the horse for £1500 and they would of won.

It's hardly a Spoiler well after the show has been televised and anyone who dos'nt want to know who's been fired would surely have the common sense to not come on a forum about that programme.

Massive shock. No way he should've gone - far better than Debra or James.

He had a chance of winning - they don't.

Doesn't make sense - if SAS is looking for an apprentice and someone he can develop into a top business person, how can showing bags of potential and raw business acumen be a bad thing? Seems to contradict what they're actually looking for.

I really don't understand all the animosity towards Ben. Much of his arrogance stemmed from the fact that he was, essentially immature. What was his age, 22??? Says it all really...
