Hi I'm trying to create a picture CD that plays on the DVD player. I have a Medion DVD player set to multi-region which plays the CD fine, but my Naiko (N1170A) just ejects the CD ?

Is this because of the region ? If so any ideas on how to make the Naiko multi-region ?

Also.... any ideas on how to set the region when writing the completed film to the CD ? As I want to be able to give it to friends and family.

Home made DVD's can not have region coding added, that is purely a matter for professional mastering companies to do and CD's have no region coding at all.
My guess is that the Naiko doesn't support CDR/CDRW discs and thus rejects them, have you checked the spec of the player to see if it supports that CD format?
Some of the latest DVD players support plain CDR's with jpegs written as standard data, no need to make any special sort of Picture disc.
