There was an interesting moment when Sir Alan said, with some justification, "You don't understand my point" (about having a reason to buy on the day), and she said she did, and was able to explain it back to him, leaving him somewhat mollified. That showed that even while she was defending herself she was listening and taking in what he said.

I don't think it's too big a deal. If he does care about it, I like to think he'd go into it in more detail and find out what really happened on the task, and see that she had a point. Nick himself I think would be fair about it, at least in private. He was a bit aggressive in the boardroom about how only closing the sale matters, but that's more to put the candidates under pressure than because he cares.
