So gald Kylies album has flopped!
Jon Bon Jovi

She is talentless and to be honest despite being a straight male I'm a bit fed up with people like kylie, victoria beckham etc flaunting themselves to sell records, it's just tacky. I'm so glad Michelle won pop idol, the music industry needs a shake up, and talent should come before image, obviously if you've got both like alicia keys, great but talent has to come before image.

I knew It would flop. Ive said this before in other DS threads.

The end is nigh Kylie. Your really not all that

If Kylie actually clothed her arse she would flop every time, it's the only thing about her that creates interest

Why are you being so cruel?

The woman has made some excellent records for over 10 years.

There is a lot worse around.

By the way I love Body Language.

Kylie, like Madonna changes her music style with every album, and this makes her fresh and enjoyable to listen to with each new release.

The Critics have given the new album some dodgy reviews, but perhaps they should not be so narrow minded and appreiciate the fact that people and times move on.

Body Language is a damn fine album, and grows on you the more you listen to it. It doesnt sound like anything else which she has done... Which is good!

As for the album flopping... Do you really think that the first single getting to Number 1 and the album reaching Number 6 is a flop? I'm sure she'll have a few more hit singles off the album. I really don't think she is going to be worried about her album flopping, as if it was a real flop, it wouldnt have reached the top 40, let alone the top 10.

I don't like all this experimentation going on with kylie, madge, britney and aguliera. Stick to what you can do!!

Whether you like it or not, image will aways be part of the equation, although, yes, it sometimes has too greater influence.

I don't know how much Kylies album is down to her, or down to her producers, but I think it's a very good album. I wouldn't call it a flop either, and I suspect it will keep selling when she brings out some more tracks from it. If the record company had so little faith in it, I wouldn't be seeing adverts for it on the tv today.

I can't see Pop Idol's Michelle lasting more than 18 months, I don't think shes a particularly great singer, Will Young has a better voice.

Also, although you can argue the talent of Bon Jovi, do you think they would have sold as many albums if Jon Bon hadn't been a pretty boy with nice hair?

Like Madonna you mean?

Dry humper - I take your point, but rock involves more personality and charisma as a big part of it is performing live so of course thats part of the attraction. Kylie has no talent fullstop, Bon Jovi have written some classic songs and richie sambora's a great guitar player, Jon Bon Jovi has so much charisma and also a great voice.

yeah - her ass saved her - along with quite a few good songs.

a great ass doesn't shift records on its own you know.

why do people care so much when someone they don't like doesn't do very well?

and whats that about Christina *experimenting* - i've been quite inpressed with Christina's singles this year - pretty decent pop songs I've thought.

'Fever' was a bunch of songs that sounded just like 'Can't Get You Out Ma Head' and it sold. She needed to be fresh and different or her career wouldn't survive in the long-run.

You've seen what happens when an artist takes the same sort of music one album to far (Madonna?), sure sales and chart positions are important, but an artist can only survive with critic's support - which 'Body Language' has given Kylie.

Body Language is good, the sales don't mean anything.

Cheeky Girls get to number one on single sales, that says it all.

You cant compare singles sales to album sales sorry.
So your "That says it all" comment is invalid.

The majority of fans who buy albums are music fans. You normally see some quality albums up the top of the charts when you wouldnt expect them to do well in our current society

I don't mean to correct you, but The Cheeky Girls haven't hit number one at all! The highest they've got in the charts is number two. Close, though.
