Camera work on the Apprentice brilliant

Whoever is in charge of the camera work on the show is doing a brilliant job. It is among the best I've seen on any reality show. Magnificent overhead views of London. They are doing a great job in promoting London, with some lovely locations.

Agree. Pity it wasn't in HD. Some of the views of London are remarkable.

And of the candidates themselves. The close ups of Lorraine's eyes with those iconic glasses. Wow!

And who could forget Series 2's Ansell?? Even Adrian Chiles mentioned on the aftershow that the camera man must have been going for best picture award at the BAFTA's

The scene where Ansell/Ruth/Michelle have won and are on a treat at a spa. Ansell slowly floats past in the swimming pool, on his back right in front of the camera. Genuis!

You've got a better memory then me Jazz as I cannot recall that, but yes all the camerawork throughout the show is brilliant, with sometimes lovely musical accompaniment. In the introduction to last nights show they played a snippet of the most beautiful hynm Dormi, (children) which was a hint at what was to follow.

I think the editing is absolutely fantastic as well.

It's one of the best put together reality TV shows. Last year with the laundry task where Raef, Michael and Daffyd got off the phone to Simon, saying 'God, I can't believe he's making such a fuss' only to turn around and ask for sugar/no sugar in their lattes was inspired.

Even something as simple as the child in the pushchair shaking his head when one of the candidates were trying to sell

The show does have a very distinctive, bright look to it. It's very well done.

Was watching S1 the other day and was struck by how much the filming style has actually changed.

There was a bit when Saira Khan and her team were running to get some items and the cameraman was dashing after them with the camera jerking all over the place.

When did we last see jerky camerawork??

Never! They've totally edited it out which is a shame as it detracts from the spontaneity of some tasks somewhat.

Agree with the OP, but I don't feel satisfied watching this series. It is more of a gourmet meal than a comfort dish. I seem to recall much more information getting across in the first few series.

In this one, it is like too much happens behind the scenes to get a complete idea of what is going on. Costumes miraculously appear and paperwork suddenly arrives etc. There is none of that raw edge to it anymore.

Still good and still watching tho

I totally agree - they do a really really good job on the Apprentice. They always catch the great little bits as well, like somebody's expression changing. And they have great sense for finding things that work. The Ansell bit mentioned was just amazing
