T-mobile PAYG broadband dongle - top up using voucher?
Hi,
I've just bought a t-mobile PAYG broadband dongle. The card I use for topping up is the same as the card I used to purchase the dongle, and t-mobile won't let me spend any more using that card until the end of the month. I don't have another card I can use and therefore I can't use the dongle at all! It's been suggested I can buy a top-up voucher and apply that. You normally ring from your phone to apply vouchers, but this is a dongle, not a phone. How do you apply the voucher in this instance? Thanks

If it's anything like my 3 dongle, you just buy your voucher at Tesco (or wherever), then there should be a top up using voucher option when your Dongle Home page appears after you connect to the Broadband service with your dongle. (You can always connect to this page even with no credit on the dongle).
You punch in the voucher number, then click validdate voucher (or something similar). On my 3 dongle, you then need to convert this top up to a Mobile broadband add on. |

Thanks
Found it eventually: "Text VO then leave a space, then your 16 digit voucher number to 150" |

When using mobile broadband I usually use Opera, with scripting, java and image downloads turned off.
Things such as Youtube and Iplayer are best avoided unless your allowance is still plentiful. |

LOL yes, I fully intend to avoid the bandwidth-heavy stuff! Forgot how controllable Opera was though - thanks for the reminder
