HDR Hard Drive Fan
Hi,
Can someone please check for me or can Bob Cat confirm, should the HDR's Hard Drive Caddy fan spin all the time or is it thermally controlled. I noticed on my new HDR that the Hard Drive Caddy fan isn't turning (when I looked when it was 1st switched on). |

It's a guess but I imagine after the fan noise problems with the 9150/9300 freeview pvrs that they use similar firmware to spin up the fan if required
The 9300T fan does spin up for a few secs on startup, then it's thermal controlled. I've never had my 9300 fan come on after the initial spin-up, since installing the new firmware. Rgds. Les. Last edited by savvy : 22-05-2009 at 15:29. Reason: clarification of after firmware |

It does indeed use smart fan control by measuring the internal temperature.
