I have heard this song from a movie somewhere, and now I don't need a quick Donnie Darko lesson. I must have heard either this version or the original tears for fears version, as I havent seen Donnie Darko, and just need to see if I am going mad, , or if someone else knows where it would have been played, could have been Buffy but then I ain't too sure.

I think it was also used on a Kiss FM advert a few years ago.

A version was used on the KissFM advert years ago with little hampsters running around the place. Whenever I emailed Kiss they kept telling me it was 'tears for fears - mad world' when quite clearly it was a 'dance' mix of the track (having had the 'best of' tears for fears album for some years now)

At least it's nice to have a 'bitter and twisted' song at number one for christmas instead of terrible novelty records or numerous kiddy choirs.
