Any ideas on the identity of the new lady pro for the new series of Strictly

I'm hoping that they don't replace Camilla and that they reduce the number of celebs this year. Last year's series seemed never-ending.

Camilla is irreplacable. If they are not going to replace her who is the male pro that they will drop

No one is irreplacable on the show, and Camilla is not to everyone's taste.

You could be right about them losing a few dancers, though. Hope it doesn't happen, because I actually liked the length of the series. There was precious little else on the box that I enjoyed as much as SCD.

When I first saw this thread I thought 'Wow, people must be absolutely certain that Hayley's not coming back" and Then I remebered about Camilla! And I call myself a Camilla fan

Anyway, I agree that they should make the series a little shorter, much as I love SCD, last series was a bit long!

Apparently the series is beginning on 15th August

So that may mean that it is head to head with X Factor throughout

So there is a chance that there may be 9 male celebs and 9 female celebs

Incidentally there was a new female pro dancer revealed for DWTS new series- could that mean that an American female pro from \that show has been recruited for SCD

Training starts on the 15th of august.

I read somewhere that the production team starts working on it sometime in June which coincides with a couple of other articles I read somewhere else in which both Erin and the Bennetts (I think) have mentioned that they don't really know what's happening til then.

Doubt it very much - Julianne Hough has said she's not doing the next Season fo DWTS so she can concentrate on her singing career hence they needed a new pro - the one selected by the audience just happened to be female and almost Juliannes double.

I thought Julianne then turned round and said she would be carrying on with DWTS..confusion.

They usually find out in July who's doing it, and strictly training starts on the 15th of August (It's on V&F's website)

But no-body knows that they're definately doing strictly yet.

I just read that Xassy is being paired with Johnny Vegas.

Being a big Camilla fan I don't really give a monkeys who else comes into the show But I do hope they cut the numbers back down to 12 again. Even as a fan last years show just seemed over-long to me...
