That drummer boy lookedv as if he played the drums better than some guys that have been playing in bands for 10 years or more.

It's like they've picked some weird or crappy acts at the expense of truly talented acts like the drummer boy to kinda spice up each SF show, dunno why though.

Because, unfortunately, the judges decided that a freak act like Darth Jackson would get them more publicity.

I agree. No matter how good, a drummer as a solo act is quite boring to watch. But this kid was just ordinary - competent to play in a garage band but he didn't stand out as a remarkable drummer, let alone a remarkable talent amongst performers better suited to the talent show format.

Especially when she can see it every morning in the dressing room mirror at Windsor Castle.

There's more to watch when a drummer's drumming than when someone's just standing there singing.

I don't get this 'round' of the show anyway. What's the good tv in a 'round' when they don't get to perform again & are just told yes / no in small groups?

It's just for sadists who like to see people's hopes built up & and then dashed.

He introduced her as his fiancee in the audition...

Re: Kieran. I guess this will be brought up every single night this week. SOOOOO many acts in there that shouldn't be and he should!

If he's just ordinary, then he shouldn't have been put 'through to the next round' in the first place.

Putting him through & then saying no while picking some absolute rubbish is just cruel.

Hmmm. I went to an Asia concert the other day, and the best part about the whole thing was watching Carl Palmer during his solo. That man is a genius on drums.

Not entertaining???

or this (unbelievable when seen live):

Drummers have the most and hardest work, but the least appreciation. Always been like that.

Btw. I thought the boy put in a decent performance, considering he'd been only doing it for a year. So yeah, he should have gone through to the live rounds.

One of my neighbour's lads, same sort of age, plays drums easily as good as this boy. He's good, but across the country there are loads better.

its funny that people think this show is based on talent and not ratings. this kid didnt get through because

a) they needed to bring some people through who would add some variety and spice to the show - Nick Hell.

b) they wanted to pad out the groups so that their chosen ones would get through - Susan Boyle.

c) you cant make much money with a drummer, without a band etc, so if he had won, it would have been a waste of all this marketing etc.

Because they'd rather let that assortment of freaks through instead!

Why was that? Are we supposed to find people like Darth Jackson incredibly funny or talanted in some way? And DJ talent?! What a load of ****

Bit of an insult to the drummer kid really!

While that is true, he still had more talent in one hand than that stupid Darth Vader bloke; was a darn site more entertaining and pleasant to watch than the "Ears" bloke, and much more pleasing on the eye than the 75yr old would-be "breakdancer", and that was just the acts that were in the same audition as him...... Don't get me started on some of the other complete rubbish they have put through.

I totally agree with you. I can only assume that they want their preferred acts to shine by putting them in the same groups as the dross.

My husband said the most torturous the guy with the piercings does is sleep with his assistant.

I have to agree about the drummer boy. It's supposed to be 'Britain's got Talent' not 'Britain's full of freakishly hideous people'. The young lad should've gone through.

I wouldn't be surprised if there was a 'shock' change of heart by the judges where they visit him and give him another chance to play his drums

Exactly it is BGT, and I was apaulled that Aidan was that his name the young drummer. This boy was amazing, and his face told it all, when he realised they were sending him home, that was disturbing. This was a boy with talent, charisma and outstanding instrumental values to say the least superb.

Why give Darth and the other Pierced Bosman a slot and not the drummer boy ??

Maybe they were expecting the 10 year old girl to sing better and sail through !

I said that too!

It is a real shame the little lad didn't get through. I thought he was very polite, talented and a credit to his parents. We could do with showcasing more of this.

In which case they should have called the show

"Britain's Got Manners"

But I agree that he should have gone through.

No sense at all.”

Agreed. I couldn't look at the screen when Ears Man was on.

With you 100% on that one. In all of these shows they have at least one round where you get put "though to the next round" and then summarily axed without another chance to perform. It's not fair to do that to people.

As for putting absolute rubbish, I don't understand why they do it. I've never met anyone who appreciates seeing these joke acts in the live shows and this year they put through a ridiculous number - at least three per semi-final by my count. I wonder if they do it because they don't have 40 genuinely talented acts and they think the joke acts are more entertaining than the semi-talented hopefuls. Whatever the reason, I wish they'd cut it out.

How about a 12 year old drummer - at least that's how old he was last year when I recorded him. Wait a bit for the drum solo to start. And he can work the audience.

I think the producers knew very well how the public would react to Keiran being dropped. Not only did they not put him through, they showed footage of him weeping with disappointment after hearing the news. That's very hard on a 12-year-old.

Despite some of the tripe they have put through to the semi finals I'm not sitting here wishing that the drummer boy was there instead. His audition didn't leave much of an impression.
