The 48 year old has been handed the coveted final slot in tonight's semi-final, which is expected to draw record audiences for ITV.

oh ffs enough of the hysteria already AJ. Yet another thread saying much the same - please post in the Appreciation thread where this sycophantic nonsense belongs. The Appreciation thread is there for a reason.

All you are doing is winding up those who do not agree that SB performing equals the second coming. You seem determined to ruin this forum for us who do not follow your slavish devotion.

Have you actually taken time to read the lyrics to that Dream song?

'I dreamed a dream, a dream,
A dream, a dream of dreaming.

And when the dream became a dream,
I dreamed of dreams of plenty.

And now the dream is just a dream,
And I must dream and dream, forever.

But now I dream and dream and dream
Coz all I know is the word dreaming.

I DREAMED the dream, the dream...

Of dreams of dreams of many,

And now the dream is not a dream...

I left my dreams of dreaming...

I don't understand all the hype surrounding her, If she came to the audition wearing nice clothes and had nice hair people would have thought she was just ok but because people judged her before she opened her mouth (me included) she's meant to be amazing. I don't think she is that great.

I've bought a prayer mat especially for the occasion.
We're about to behold a miracle to be savoured from now until eternity.

At least you have a sense of humour alrightmate, however your message is nearer the truth than you realize.

AJ - Couldn't you please, please, please just put all these comments in the appreciation thread where they belong. From time spent just reading this thread, people have wanted the BGT section to have its own place on the front page of DS to make it more prominant.

I understand that you are a keen fan but you are spoiling the BGT section by opening so many threads and it is just bugging people

Whatever you might think about Susan, her live debut is going to be one of the showbusiness events of the year. I'm sure every news organisation that covers entertainment news will be following this story.

If I was Susan, I'd have been throwing up violently all day with nerves!

Boyle is not even the best singer left in the show, let alone anything else (I reckon that woman from Floral high notes is better).

A thread about a 'Controversial Ex Priest nutter' is more deserving than reports of 50 million people tuning in tonight to listen to Susan Boyle sing?

The attempts by a very small minority on a message board to discredit Susan boyle will fail miserably, as Susan will prove tonight with her delightful live performance.

Mandark - I have no issue with Susan. I am sure she is a nice person who loves her family and cat. My issue is with the way she is vastly over-hyped by the media and the so called "fans" who are putting a huge level of expectation on her. (see below) I can imagine the amount of pressure she must be under right now. Bear in mind she is totally inexperienced in dealing with this - it cannot be helped when both the media and her fans are predicting such huge levels of interest. What will happen if she cracks under pressure? What will happen if she is just OK tonight? She will be crucified for not being what we thought or expected. If I was SB, I would not be throwing up, I would be on the first plane out of Heathrow right now.

AJ - the issue is not Susan, the issue is you. Your constant sycophantic adoring threads and posts are encouraging anti-SB posting. You did exactly the same with Colleen on DOI and look what happened. She ended up being the villain on the forum with many people posting messages against her. And why? Your constant refrain irritated many people who otherwise would not have posted messages slagging her off.

Piece of advice - calm down, its only a TV programme, nothing more than that.

And I don't really care if these comments get me banned, they had to be said.

The personal attack is a common weapon used by serial negative posters and is best ignored.

I just hope that Susan can live up to the high expectations that people have of her. I loved her performance of I Dreamed a Dream but it's not going to be easy to top it. It's a very emotional song. I'll keep my fingers crossed for her

She didn't do a lot fo me I have to say. Not keen on soprano voices though. Susan had a quality that I liked. It just remains to be seen that it wasn't a one off.

50 Million? Prehaps on youtube in the next few weeks, but no way will 50 million watch it live.

Maybe if Susan had entered the Eurovision Song Contest for the UK she would have won it, such is her popularity! ;o)

I think we are all keeping our fingers crossed for Susan tonight, I am sure she will perform amazingly whatever she sings, and will confirm the high quality of her talent with her live performance.

The woman who coaches a lot of famous singers and people on X Factor and Pop Idol and other shows in the past, said in one of the Sunday papers that Susan Boyle has the most natural and the best voice that she has ever worked with -- as she's been helping the semi-finalists!
