Your dear mum will be looking down on you Susan, and she will be very proud.

Sorry, I just couldn't resist that

Like her excuse for the rocky start she blames a sniff

“It was a pretty rocky start because to begin with I sort of had a croaky note. That’s because I had a cold.

Only a couple of days to go now and Dear Susan will be bringing The Whole World to a standstill for the second time in a week.

A cold and a sore throat is devastating for a live singer Mr screwy, it wouldn't effect most stars today because they all mime.

She didn't sound like she had a cold or a sore throat to me. She just sounded like she struggled a bit with the song.

If she does lose in the final (not that I expect her to, sadly) then at least her excuses will be prepared well in advance.

I can't work out whether AnthonyJohn is trolling or not. It's hard to know what's real anymore with some of the recent hysteria.

This is for real. Check out the DOI thread - same type of devotion for Colleen.

AJ seems to thrive on adoration and blind fanaticism

Actually, a sirprising number do sing live. Go to any West End show and you'll see people singing live - and they do it in 8 performances a week!

Gets me every time I hear it.

Hope Susan gets the chance to watch this one for Saturday night so that she sees how it should be done:

Ruthie Henshall - I dreamed a dream (10th Anniversary)

John Sergeants Army of fans will be out on Saturday to support Dear Susan, they won't be able to bully Susan off the show.

Nah - I still prefer Susan's version http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9lp0I...eature=related. Straight from the heart Makes me wonder if she was struggling with a cold in the semi final......

Ruthie Henshall does come a close second to our Dear Susan.

Our Dear susans rendition is still the best.

I beg to differ. Theres no emotion involved with Susan its just belted out with no thought to the lyrics involved.

Doesn't really matter does it? Some like a good sauvignon and others a 2 litre bottle of Cider. No accounting for taste is there?

Exactly - different things move different people. Ruthie Henshall sounds a bit clipped and theatrical to me, Susan's sounds more heartfelt IMO. I'd just like to hear her pull off another song to prove that that wasn't a fluke.

Not going to happen though is it? if she does not do I Dreamed A Dream I will streak down Sauchiehall Street!

Wonder if Ruthie sounds theatrical as it is a song from a musical?
