Look how crushed little Natalie was. I don't think it's fair to subject a girl of 10 to pressure and disappointment like that live on national TV.

Poor Natalie. I think they should have an age limit of at least 16.

I felt very sorry for her,she deserved to reach the final. Why put her in the same group as Susan Boyle?

A lot of us feel the same way. 10 is way too young.

(There again, a lot of adult cry too!)

Aww,i felt sorry for the kid,but she has to get used to a few knockbacks..

I know, that was horrible. I felt so sorry for her.

I suppose she chose to enter the competition though, presumably with her parents' consent. The whole point of BGT is that it is open to all ages and all talents as well.

There is time to learn that a bit later in life, 10 is the age to be a kid.

So distressing to see her so upset, I don't think they should be put through that at all. On the final calls in yesterdays programme there was a little lad of about 6 standing there on his own - no parents or any support, along with other acts when he was rejected and still no parents when he got outside either, it was Dec checking to see if he was alright. It's really not right, but then you have to question the parents, and if they deem their child can take it then so be it, if they can't then the parents are irresponsible and cruel.

At the very least, why weren't preparations made to allow her mother to be with her immediately either way?

She should of been put through regardless of her age!

It wasn't pleasant to watch but kids are resilient, she'll bounce back...

I hate the cute factor, yes there should be age limit.

Yeah, children cry. Losing is important. It's like never giving a "fail" mark to a child or not having winners on sports day.

Poor little thing. As already said though she'll bouce back. Kids are very good at that.

She shouldn't have been put in a group with a worldwide celebrity, should she? Not fair.

Not at all.

The harsh reality is she wasn't good enough. I felt very sorry for her but the whole blame can't be put on the producers - her mother gave consent for her to go through the whole process. One has to wonder why you'd do that when you know there's a risk of her becoming distressed by the pressure and disappointment?

There is a £100,000 cash prize here, live on telly watched by millions. That is a lot of pressure for a 10 year old kid.

No it's fine, gives them a nice lesson in life.

Seen even adults cry on these shows.

They could make it 16 but having the youngsters on is a key appeal of the show.

I think 13 should be the limit, as at that age, people start to be more independent, more in control of what they do, more sceptical of things, so in this case, I don't think a 13 year old would be totally convinced of all the praise he/she is receiving, to the point where, unlike tonight, that person wouldn't think they had the competition in the bag, only for all those hopes to come tumbling down.

Yes, children make mistakes, and children can learn, but doing so in front 10m people, in a very highly pressurised/contrived set-up, as well as being up against bonafide worldwide talking point (I think putting her amongst this lot was definitely intentional, to get rid of potential threats), isn't a good way of learning mistakes.

She wasn't good enough - simple as that, truth often hurts.

I'd be interested to know if she was voted second by the public phone vote.

Connie Talbot was 5 or 6 when she was on BGT.
Did she burst into tears when she didn't win the final?
If I remember correctly, she was rather dignified.

Nothing against Natalie, as she is an amazingly talented youngngster, but I do believe she is a little drama queen. She is hoping to be a diva when she is older and she is well on the way there already.

Well Natalie begged her mum to enter her. There probably would have been tears either way, if her mum didn't enter or if she failed to get through. The whole experience has been positive and negative, she's lived out her little dream and sung on TV for millions and but unfortunately she also was rejected on TV.

Connie Talbot has lived before, I am convinced of it! She had a very old head on her shoulders.

That's not really fair. Her hopes and dreams were crushed in those few seconds because she came so close. I wouldn't say that's being a drama queen; I know I'd cry. I expect most people probably do cry, only backstage.
