Credit Crunch - Parody
I wrote a song about the Credit Crunch. It's a parody of "I Dreamed a Dream". I only spent about half an hour writing it so i know there's is room for improvement. feedback appreciated.
____________________________________ I dreamed a dream in time gone by That unemployment wasn’t soaring I dreamed the credit crunch would die And Gordon Brown walked in the morning Then the recession came and bite And my savings were used and wasted There were high debts to be paid No expensive wine lingering on my taste buds But the Tories not so bright With their voices soft as thunder As they so deftly put The recession could work wonders And still I dream so frequently That we will have a brighter future But there are dreams that cannot be And there are storms we cannot weather I had a dream the economy would be So different from this crisis through which I'm living So different now from what it seemed Now the economy has killed the dream I dreamed. |
