Had to start this. Love her or Loathe her, she's done some hits. And as the title states 'appreciation' is required .

Her album title has been revealed as 'Memoirs of an imperfect angel', which is a very nice title.

I also heard she is going to be covering 'I Want to know what love is'.

E=MC2 was a great album, just some poor choices as Singles. My favourite song from that album was 'For The Record'.

Is it just Mariah fans that shorten her albums and songs to first letters of each word lol! ive only noticed us fans do it.

Anyway im looking forward to it but i hope she changes the formula! im bored of the rnb mariah. Its like a whole new genre of music she has created and is re cycling it with each album.

Her best work was Butterfly, The Remixes, Charmbracelt, TEOM, Glitter. Each album is vastly different. The other albums are to much the same.

I hope she experiments a little more with this album. Timberland is someone she hasnt worked with yet so it could be interesting.. The less "Ya'll no wat this is..." i hear on this album the better.

lol y'all know JD is gonna make at least 2 appearances on a track

If the name of the album is anything to go by then we can expect more personal songs with depth a la Butterfly. But Mariah has said it's going to be very personal and dedicated to us

Exactly Cause y'all know what this is. I hope he will do somethting different this time no more ballads with a beat and I hope he doesnt speak on the tracks.

She is working with timberland, Im really curious to see how that sounds.

She said it is a personal album so maybe it will be butterfly part 2

Cant wait and I love the title

The title is really beautiful really.

I really do hope she covers 'I want to know what love is', on the album. Whether it's a single or album track because i can actually hear her singing it now. She'd do it justice.

My top 3 Mariah songs ever are: (in no particular order)
-We Belong Together
-Someday
-I'll Be There.

I, too, am a huge Mariah fan and am really looking forward to her new album. I'm hoping that there will be a cover (because I love her covers), and if it is I want to know what love is, I can't wait to hear her interpretation of it.

I've heard a snippet of one of the songs from MOAIA titled Hate You. It wasn't the greatest quality clip, but the song sounds fab. I can't wait to hear it in it's entirety.

It's hard to pick just three, so here are the first three that come to mind:

Underneath the Stars
If it's Over
Fantasy

Don't know what went wrong with MC2, it was a good album .

Migrate should have been the 1st single

LOVE her. Her voice, songwriting and artistry.

As blasphemous as is sounds, i thought MC2 was a bad album . I like the rnb side to Mariah, but I thought it was excellenty showcased on TEOM and Butterfly.

I love watching all her live performances from before 1996, when her voice was at it's peak. She was (is) such a great belter above the E5 range - so...glorious to listen to those F5s/G5s

Hopefully this album will be a mix between TEOM/Butterfly/pre-butterfly !

AND, in her upcoming album, she has worked with the person who produced "Fly Like A Bird" That song has the best ending of her's EVER.

I was listening to e=mc2 yesterday, and realised what a wasted album it was. There could have easily been a B side (i think that's what it's called where you have two songs out at once, or is that double A side? oh well).

I also realised how great Bye Bye is as wel as For The Record and Love Story.

I'm not really a fan or Mariah Carey, although some of her hits in the 90s were great

Don't forget that Mariah's new single 'obsessed', goes on the radio from tomorow.

However, i think it's being aired in the US first, but there's always YouTube

The love for Mariah seems to be down on here atm

NOTE: I looked on amazon.co.uk and it says the album is out in August but it's listed for £16 and an import?

You can pre-order the album from HMV on-line. It's £8.99

I did.

I heard a rumour that Mariah is going to be singing tonight at MJ's funeral.

Not sure if this is confirmed though.
