The ones you will need for a panasonic are DVD-R or DVD-RW disks.
They are two different varients of DVD-R, One aimed at consumers and one for Authoring. Authoring DVD-R's wont work in a consumer DVD Recorder, however dont worry as you are not likley to be able to purchase them in shops , even in the likes of PC world i dont think they stock them, also they are more expensive than general use DVD-R's DVD-R's for computer and for recorders are the same disks, there is no difference The ones you do have to make sure that you avoid are DVD+RW (plus). These disks are not supported by the DVD forum and will not work in your recorder. to use DVD+RW you will need a compatible recorder which is supported by a few break away companies from the origional DVD Forum |

also beware of some budget brands as the quality isn't 100%
you can get better prices online than in shops see: http://www.blankdiscshop.co.uk/ as an example |
