Just been down into Whitby today to get some seafood and I picked up a bag of prawns. Now normally Even though I like prawns, I find its the spines that put me off in some of the King Prawns. However these prawns seemed to have no spines and were all soft and nice to eat.

Very nice treat, but expensive, blimey I was speechless when they told me the price.

Sorry mods not sure if this should have been in the food thread. Please feel free to move it if you wish.

that line that goes down the back of a prawn is the poo line which is why it is filled with grit and sand. you just peel it out, no big deal. In lousiana, people suck the brains of the crawfish.

Up until a few years ago I thought they were animals and walked about on hillsides and that two of their legs were shorter than the other two because of walking on mountains all day.
