File Transfer to USB Stick Problem
zetor

I have a 2GB USB stick formatted to FAT32 which gives a usable size of about 1.8GB, I can normally fit on a 1 hour file on the empty stick, Primeval off ITV will fit fine but I get a message "No more storage available" when I try and transfer Ashes To Ashes off BBC1, therefore I am assuming then that the BBC 1 hour file must be larger then 1.8GB, if this is the case I can buy a 4GB stick which should work, is there a way to check how big files are on the HDR so I know this is the problem?

Sadly the only way is to estimate the file size from the % used figure. If the stick is empty try formatting it as the foxsat seems to steal memory every time you use it as deleting the files wierdly does no recover all the space it should.

Ashes to Ashes on my freeview pvr is just under 1.8Gb which should be similar to the hdr file size if it has not recorded mote than the 1hr it should have done.

Ashes To Ashes recorded at 66mins so it could have taken it over the maximum my USB stick can hold, I had already formatted it on my pc, I'll buy a 4GB and try again.
