Why are you so negative? Fair enough, you have your own point of view but just don't try and ruin it for everyone else. Nothing nice to say, don't say anything.

NO New song added, but then again it was never confirmed and explains why there wasn't a new set list out last night.

Great show though so I've read.

BBC reporting one song sung, all the rest mimed.

The suns bloody two faced that gordan praised her 1st show in new Orleans now he slates her, he's always having a dig at britney and madonna ect. You can tell he don't like pop music.

People I know who went said she was fantastic, papers will be bias as she mimes, but shesneen doing it successfully for the past 10years.

She should not be on the stage if she mimes 95% of the time.

This sort of event is not a concert.

The visuals and other guff on stage are merely to distract the sad punter whose actually paid money to watch someone who can't cut it as a live performer.

Time these events were made illegal.
No doubt Jacko will be next.

Where have you been for the past 10years?

She puts on a great show and the shows are sold out.

Listening to proper music.

I'll leave your sort to lap up crap like Britney Spears.

You can't categorise people who like Britney Spear's music, so I would refrain from using ' your sort' to refer to Britney fans, as there is a completely different mix of them.

And also, please get over yourself. What you class as 'proper music' may not be classed as that to everyone else, show some respect for other people likes when it comes to music.

If everyone liked the same type of music, the world would be a boring place. Yes, she mimes which I'm sure all the fans, including me, wish she did'nt but we've accepted it.

Just watched the video of her. Amazing how blatent her miming is. She is throwing herself around the cage yet her voice is perfect as if you're listening to her record. It isn't even a case of "Is she or isn't she".. you know straight away she isn't singing live. Poor fans.

Yes I admit my "poor fans" is wrong because if the fans leave thinking "Awesome!!" and they feel they enjoyed the show, then they're not poor at all.. they've had a good time and value for their money, which is all that matters really.

Ok I went last night and had an AMAZING time!

Firstly the whole show ended about 22.50 so be prepared for it to run on a bit later than expected! There was a really good atmosphere outside, there's like fairground rides outside the arena for people to go on. There's also loads of merchandise (Programme for £20 each) but they're pretty good and come with this free circus feathered mask thing..lol.

I've written some Spoilers below, so please don't read if you'd rather it be a surprise.

Wherever you are in the arena you will have a pretty decent view because of the stage being in the middle. Ciara came on and got the crowd going
Spoiler
She did versions of Takin' Back My Love and Love/Sex/Magic which was a nice addition. Also she was doin loads of energetic dancing etc and sang live. Soon after Ciara this Big Apple Circus Group came on, who were pretty impressive!

Soon after this Britney came on
Spoiler
(or should I say down?!)
and the crowd went Wild, all chanting 'Britney, Britney!' before she made her appearance.
Spoiler
It was a really good show, she did loads of the old songs as well.. The whole concert seemed to be quite long (even though the time goes fast!) so you get your money's worth.
She didn't perform Gimme More or Break The Ice, but they were played during an interlude bit where she got changed. I was quite surprised that ther were alot of songs from Blackout, I thought maybe more from Circus bearing in mind it was the Circus tour. I remember Ooh Ooh Baby, Get Naked, Hot As Ice, Piece of Me, Radar and Freakshow..there may have been more.
No Kill The Lights or Mannequin, which was a little disappointing..but she made up for this by doing some of the old classics..Toxic was a class performance and the crowd loved it.
The finale was Womanizer and was a pretty good ending, all confetti shoots into the crowd..

The most impressive thing about this concert was the staging and dancers and props and special effects that are used. You can't help but be in awe of all the people who must work behind the scenes getting the stageing, lighting prepared. At one point Britney flies around in the air hanging from an acrobat dancer person!
Also there are some pretty good videos of her to watch whilst she gets changed etc (look out for Marilyn Manson, Sweet dreams and also loads of clips from her videos)..also her outfits and amount of costume changes are impressive and sexy! Also I wasn't sure.. but for one routine I think someone from the crowd was picked out (they had a Britney tour tshirt on?) and Britney danced around them on stage. I couldn't work out if this was a 'plant' or a dancer though lol as it all happened pretty quickly!

The only less positive points were I maybe hoped for more off the Circus album but as I said she makes up for this with performing the older songs. and also to be honest 'Everytime' was the only song done live (when she wasn't dancing around), but was done beautifully. But in fairness she does loads of energetic routines in killer heels and we all kind of expected this anyway. Also it thought maybe she should have had some more crowd interaction..she only addressed the crowd twice I think..in my personal opinion from previous concerts i've been to I think it's nice when artists address the crowd and show their gratitude for coming etc. It sometimes seemed like she was on a mission to do the setlist dancing etc, so it didn't seem to flow as naturally as for example Pink's Funhouse tour did.

Overall Im really looking forward to going again on Sunday, and if you are going to see her then I think you will be impressed and have an really good time! It was honestly a spectacular show.

Also as an afterpoint it costs £12.50 to go to the Indigo2 Club bit where there's all these dancers and stuff, and Britney was going to make a 'rumoured appearance'. But I doubt it to be honest.. Hope everyone has a good time if you're going.

I'm sure I'm not the only person who likes Britney but also likes..uh.."proper music".

People can enjoy Britney's amazing concerts without lacking "taste in music". In my case, I like a wide range of music from Britney Spears and Girls Aloud to (most of) Andrew Lloyd Webber's work and Mozart. I can enjoy a night at the theatre seeing a musical as much as I can enjoy a Britney concert.

My point is that just because someone is a fan of Britney, that does not mean that they are completely ignorant to other music. All that means is that they...enjoy seeing Britney perform.

And there's absolutely nothing wrong with only liking pop music anyway, even if that is the case - it's all completely subjective.

Something tells me that your idea of "proper music" is stuff I wouldn't listen to. Obviously I don't know that for a fact as you have not mentioned what you consider to be proper music. Still, if I'm correct...well, does that mean I only like "crap"? I think not.

Anyway, I just wanted to say that I'm glad the people who have seen Britney already have enjoyed the show! It's been a long wait, but if people are enjoying it so far then it's worth the wait!

OK, a straight question : what musical talent or skill is Britney Spears displaying at the O2?

Hey, Just wanted some advice as im going to see Britney on saturday. With the tube maintenance ruining our plans, we now have to drive to the 02 and hoopefully find parking.
Ive tried online and it takes you to ticketmaster and just says 'no exact matches found' or something along those lines. I've tried ringing to book but nobody answers!
Does anybody know of anywhere else to park?
Any help would be great
mattthemole
04-06-2009
Ok.. that's unusual that Ticketmasters not working..the car park might be full though.. It says you have to pre-book HOWEVER there is a car park down there (at the o2 itself)where you can pay on the day BUT it costs £20!
I know this because I went there last month without booking a ticket.. when you get near the o2 follow signs to the car parks, then it'll direct you to a car park for people who havent pre-booked.
As for a cheaper option nearby i'm not sure sorry!
Hope this helps
