For some bizarre reason I bought some seabass today and was planning on cooking it for dinner later - only problem is I've never cooked it before, minor detail I know!

I love salmon cooked in foil so will probably do it that way but I have no idea how long or anything and should I add anything into the foil with it? Help!

Yum, sea bass (not that I've ever cooked it either!).

Here are some recipes (inc some baked ones). Hope it helps.

what I do when I do it is to bake it in sea salt. The meat of the fish comes out really tender and moist then and tastes lovely. If you can fillet it properly you won't get any salt in the taste either

Thanks for the suggestions, I've gone for the lemon and herb one from the link you posted jojo01, I had the other stuff in already so makes it easier!

If it turns out ok I can see me trying the rest of the recipies from that link!

Baked in salt as mentioned is beautiful but costs a fortune in salt!

Cook it the same way as any other fish. Not overcooked.

It was delish! Baked in foil with several slices of lemon, salt, pepper, crushed garlic and some extra virgin olive oil, it just melted in the mouth, might stock up on some more while it is half price in Tesco.

Thanks again for the suggestions, they were really helpful!
