Don't know if this is raised elsewhere, but the HDR is inferior (currently) to the PVR when it comes to recording clashes. In setting a recording on the HDR, you are not to know there is a recording clash until the recording actually starts - rubbish! The PVR tells you at the time of setting., allowing r-scheduling. Also, I set Britains Got More Talent on ITV2+1 one evening and series recorded it to avoid a clash, but then deleted the recording request from the schedule, reverting to ITV2 series link. It still records both, even though I have deleted all requests to record +1 - why?

The HDR is the only Freesat PVR !!

Which other PVR are you comparing it to?

The HDR does tell you clashes when you are scheduling them, as long as it knows about them within the confines of the 8-day EPG, and it offers you Alternate Instance recordings if it can find them.

It will also pop up with a Clash Message at the time of recordings starting, that may have moved scheduled time since the recording was set. It cannot know about these in advance, of course. I had such a clash last night because Corry moved due to the football tonight.

If you don't agree with these statements, can you let us know the programmes that you have tried to record and got clashes on, that you believe should have been dealt with when you first scheduled them. Can you also describe, step by step, the process you are going through to schedule these recordings from the EPG.

I'm not sure about your ITV2 (+1) issues, but I would guess that ITV have got the same Series CRID on that programme, but have put different Prog CRIDs for the +1 repeat, when they should be the same. The HDR sees a new Prog CRID, so thinks it's a new Prog to record.

I can't get to my HDR at the moment to check the CRIDs, and see whether my theory is correct or not. If it's not, I'd just put it down to yet another ITV cock-up on Freesat

Rgds.

Les.
