Diversity - The only act that topped their own audition so far
JTW
27-05-2009
I'm massively disappointed in every single act so far, except Diversity who are the only ones that the majority seem to agree topped their own audition.

I've been looking forward to seeing Natalie, Flawless, Susan Boyle and Shaheen, but they've all been disappointing and were much better in their auditions.

It's been a really disappointing show so far and even the ones that have since gone through since Diversity, haven't been up to much.

Ahh but if he spins on his nose and doesn't use his legs, he might get away with it.

I loved Diversity in the prelims, and was half wincing when they came back on in case they weren't as good. I was so relieved that they were as clever and funny as the first time, I hope they win!

Hiya Muriel. I've been trying to keep an open mind and judge each act on its own merits, but like you, I really thought that something would go wrong with there being so many of them, but felt massive satisfaction when they pulled it off.

I wish them well on Saturday and think there's no reason why they shouldn't win by the standards of the others we've seen so far.

Thanks for the welcome JTW!

So far, I'd like either Diversity, Shaheen or Flawless to win - AFAIC the other acts should be in 'Britain's Got No Talent'. My kids loved Diversity, they couldn't believe it when they threw the young lad across the stage! Breathtaking stuff!

I'm with you on your choices, Muriel. I hope Shaheen can improve on his disappointing performance last night. His voice sounded off in places. I also didn't like the army theme from Flawless and hope they revert more to what they did in the auditions, but that said, they are by far the best out of a bad lot from what's been on so far.

I agree.

I was looking forward to Flawless as well, but I dunno, it came across a bit Diversityish. Both were very good but I preferred both their auditions.

Only Shaun has impressed me.

I see what you mean about the similarities, but then again I've enjoyed the level of expertise from both acts. I'm also looking forward to seeing that young boy Aiden too.

I'm afraid I wasn't impressed with Shaun and again preferred his audition, but again with a different song choice on Saturday, I could change my mind again.

Hiya R_G.....good to see you

I noticed your thread and going to add my tuppence worth on it.

Your right about the half hearted performances, because other than Diversity, I've been majorly disappointed so far.

I actually thought Flawless were as good as their audition and they've stayed consistent, so I'm rooting for them (or Stavros Flatley) to win. I also really like Diversity, but I think Flawless just edge it for me.

Shaun was ok in the semis, but his song choice wasn't that great and that's what let him down.

So far, Diversity are the only act I'd pay money to go and see. I love them bigly!

I have to laugh when Ant/Dec and the judges <apart from Simon> praise the show and acts to the skies.

Tbh it`s quite embarrassing if this is the talent Britain has

I like both Flawless and Diversity. Thought Diversity just edged it over them in the semi's though.

My other half loved Stavros Flatley, but I couldn't see what was funny about them

Your right about Ant and Dec and the judges. I don't know how they can keep a straight face with half of the garbage that they spew out. What I really find annoying is that you know that they praise acts that you are gobsmacked about even getting on the show in the first place, and then totally trash the half decent ones. Of course we should know by now that they've already got their selections on the ready for the final and who their favourite acts are.

I thought that DJ Talent was better in his semi.

I certainly felt that Flawless were trying to copy Diversity's style of choreography. They were quite different from how they had been in the first round.

I know it's not saying much but I thought that his rap had slightly more variety in the semi and he had all the back up too.

I'm going to go against the OP and say that I was disappointed by Diversity in the semi. I didn't feel that there was enough actual dancing, it was all gimmicks. That said, I thought the same about Flawless too.

I haven't enjoyed any of the semi-final performances very much, even those who I expected to be real bankers in terms of talent have really been let downs.

This is the first series I have watched properly but I watched the final last year and unless they really raise their game for the final then all 6 acts that have gone through so far are not a patch on those in the final last year, even the dancing dog!

He wasn't my thing, Mandark, but it is a variety show after all.....and he did make me smile

I expect young Aidan to be good in his semi, simply for the fact that he only performed for about a minute in his audition. We should see a lot more moves in the semi.
