Thighs are the best bit. Breasts I only like when cooked on the bone. I really don't like drumsticks. Wings when cooked properly are delicious. Slow roast them with olive oil, butter lemon and garlic until sticky and crispy. Mmmmmm.

Food snobs will come on and say that if you don't think the thighs are the best bit then you're not a foodie...
Pah to that, breast is best for me, and I will continue to use cubed breast in pies and curries because I prefer the taste (and it's me who is eating it!) |

![]() .I cook roast chicken in a rotissary for 1 1/2 to 2 hours and it comes out perfect everytime and very yummy. Apart from that, any chicken portion that comes from KFC will do just fine. |

If I'm only cooking chicken bits then I tend to use breast. If I roast a chicken though, the very best bit is that little round buttony shaped bit underneath the bone at the bottom. YUM.

No one has mentioned the parson's nose. I can remember when there was quite a fight for it at meal times.

![]() My fave bit are the "jewels" at the underside. Intense dark meat but not enough of it.

Anything that isn't attached to the bone and/or fatty when I have to eat it. How I am with meat.

I tried chickens feet in a Chinese restaurant a few weeks ago.
They are certainly not my favourite bit! Gristle, skin and bone. Nothing else (not surprisingly). My girlfriend (who is Chinese) says that in China the chicken (and duck) feet are the most expensive part to buy; wings, breast and leg being cheaper. Apparantly chicken heads are popular too! Not got around to trying that yet. |

Portion-wise, prefer the breasts. However, my treat when doing chicken is to always nab the 'oysters' for myself!

My family has never bothered with White meat. I don't think I ever really tasted it until my teens. When it's cooked right it's lovely but even then it doesn't compare with Dark meat.
Ideally I want a Thigh and a Drumstick plus they're cheaper so I tend to only have Breast when I'm on a diet or cooking a whole bird. |

Breast and thigh for sunday dinner
Thigh in KFC Wings anytime ![]() ![]() Drumsticks for BBQ's as they are so easy to eat without having to worry about getting messy, as long as you put some tin foil around the top |
