It would depend on the position. If the position meant that she wasn't working closely with others as an integral part of a team then I might well employ her. I wouldn't employ her in a managerial position or as part of a team that has to work closely with each other until she learned better people skills. Mind you, I don't like the fact that she lies to get out of trouble instead of taking responsibility for her own mistakes so, on second thoughts, perhaps not...

Based on what I've seen I wouldn't have employed her back in the day when I was 19 and I wouldn't employ her now - in any capacity.

No I wouldn't. I could understand her ferocity in the boardroom if she was a Ruth Badger and was consistently performing on tasks and displaying a track record of getting things done. But she isn't.
The two projects she's managed proved her to be nothing special - a weak manager if anything - and she hasn't made significant contributions to the other tasks. I like her purely because she's undeniably entertaining to watch. |

It would depend on how she behaved outside the wholly artificial world of TA.
She's shown business abilities but appears impossible to work with. But we have to remember that this is a game (despite some people naively thinking it's an interview ).The environment these people find themselves in is enormously stressful and quite unrealistic. In a real life situation she may well behave very differently. |

I certainly woudn't emply her to sell rocking horses! Not with a chavvy accent like that. If I'm spending a lot of money I want to deal with someone who sounds like they aren't trying to sell sumink cheap ya know?

I'd employ her to be one of those salesfolk who drive all round the place or if I owned Currys (are they even still going?), I would stand her at the front of the shop to drag people in, force washing machines upon them and bark at the hooligans outside. But this would all be on the condition that I was in an office far, far away.

I wouldn't employ Debra, well may be to sweep up behind the horses, not the rocking horse variety.
I was very uncomfortable when faced with Sr'alan telling her point blank to her face in the boardroom that she was disliked by Nick and Margaret she showed not one trace of being upset, she appears made of stone, heartless. An unsympathetic person is not a good team player, or employee for that matter. |

You have got to be joking
James said it perfectly- employing her and half the company would be out on strike on her first day |

I understand your point - but she resorts to dishonesty too easily with game-face for me to place any level of trust in her as an employee and representative.
I wouldn't employ Yasmina for being prepared to server rubbish (and potentially spoil an evening for a lot of people) - were it not for the fact that it was being treated as a game. I wouldn't employ Kate for being prepared to go along with Phil and Ben in not making any real attempt to sell because the whole group thought the PM would get the blame - were it not for the fact that it was being treated as a game. It may very well be that Debra does not have the right qualities even outside the game but you never know. (Remember how Jenny M seemed to be a bit of a cold fish last series but came across completely differently on 'her' YF and was seen mady waving a "Get well soon" banner for Nicholas on a later YF - whoda thunk it?) |

In a word 'no.'
I wouldn't employ Debra because I think she would 'take over' and could pee every other employee off with her dominant nature, imo. |

I'd employ her, based on what we've seen in the show.

I think she's best off working for herself to be honest.

High pressure sales and left on her own with a target.
Or if if I were seeking a Cher lookalike. |
