Highlights of that interview courtesy of OnlineBigBrother.com:

* was alot of interesting people in the house for media day who work in television, print, internet media, etc. “Some fun people, really interesting.”
* The press lived one week of Big Brother in 12 hours
* The cast and twist have been finalized
* She says that the footage will be released shortly.
* The entire cast has been chosen. “Everyone is in. We’ve got a cast, we’ve got the twist, the new house. It’s exciting.”
* Allison says that she can’t release any information about the twist until the cast is in sequester, but as soon as they’re under lock and key, all the information will be revealed.
* Something new on premiere night is “unprecedented”
* “The house is gorgeous. It’s a modern house this season, and we’re going green. Eco-friendly.”
* The 14th Houseguest is Julia Chen’s spawn
* Julie Chen will be hosting all season, despite her pregnancy.
* Live Feeds are going to be intense this year lots of crazy twists
* She encourages everyone near the studio to join in on the live audience show

“I can tell you that this season is different. The twist this season is unique, as always. It is incredibly relatable. I think everyone will be able to identify with this twist. That is all I can tell you. There’s also something else happening on premiere night that’s unprecedented that will be alot of fun. You’re going to hear more and more about this as we approach the premiere date.”
Sounds interesting...wonder what the unprecedented thing is?

Oh. I wonder why they went back down to 12 housemates... Im thinking there might be a twist where someone joins later on - they've never done that before.. I mean, there was Adria and Natalie becoming two, and the returns but never anyone knew.

I guess they'd have to keep anyone in sequester though, considering they could otherwise go in knowing every alliance/plot/secret!

Apparently is a week shorter this season, so I'm guessing that's why there is only 12 housemates.

As long as they are all entertaining I don't mind, 14 is ideal though because you usually get a couple of duds in every cast.

Oooh, that house sounds quite weird. I hope they dont turn this series into a freakshow though. Last year's proved that normal is good!

Either/or. It's generally easier through various BB Viewer programs on other sites, as Real Player can be a not very nice thing sometimes.

Redmond's got the lowdown.

I find it easier to control and view the feeds with the BBViewer. You can download it for free here http://www.bbviewer.com/

Although I think the Flashback feature will have to be used on the Real Player page, it's a new feature so I'm not exactly sure how it will work but I'm guessing it will be through the Real Player site.

Yep, once the feeds start on Real Player they'll directly link with BBViewer.

Download the BB toolbar:

http://bigbrothernetwork.ourtoolbar.com/

CBS and the spin-off sites seem to be pulling all the stops out for web presence this time, unlike certain other BBs I could mention.

I'm so glad that BB USA has not started yet. BB UK is officially over for me tonight. I'm happy to watch it online (my main TV is actually my monitor connected to both a Freeview box as well as my main PC), and a live-feed available 24x7 is essential to truly knowing the HMs. BB UK finally died tonight with the two HMs facing the public vote being two from the group that could save the show from oblivion, so the USA fallback is a good thing.

I shouldn't say this, but in a twisted way I'm glad that the UK show is dead now, as without the LF I could never really get into it. The USA show, with the 5-8 hour time-difference (where is it set, east or west coast?) is ideally suited for a UK audience who want to watch people up all night, and also up from mid afternoon onwards, rather than going to bed by 1am our time.

It is set in in LA on the West Coast.

But they've added a new feature of the feeds this year called "Flashback" so if you miss stuff you can just type in the time and go back and watch anyway.

That sounds good, as much as I regret splitting up with BB UK, it has just gone too far this time and the USA series looks like being better.

I would actually prefer a show where nominations can be discussed openly like I believe they can be in the USA show, as it will avoid all the fake talking around nominations, when what they're really doing is saying who should be nominated but in a coded way.

I also found it rather ironic that someone on the BB UK forum said we'll be back there (the BB UK forum) next Sunday, when I have now decided the UK show is a waste of time. I'm yet to be convinced the US show also isn't a waste of time, but a live-feed all day once it starts will definitely weigh heavily in its favour. I know how to "find" unofficial feeds also, so one way or another, I'll be watching BB as it is meant to be watched-- live, whenever I want to. Hopefully the US HMs will be a good bunch, and ideally DS will drop BB UK for BB USA instead. There are plenty of US based fan sites to visit if DS decide to stick with the sinking ship that is DS UK.

I think you'll enjoy BBUSA, you've started watching at a good time, as last year they finally stopped doing the "relationship twists" (as in putting a father/daughter in the house, or ex-lovers etc) and have gone back to all strangers. BB11 will be all strangers too.

BBUSA just has more of a purpose and a structure, there is always a reason to watch, even in seasons were the housemates aren't all that great. But last year we got some great housemates and some ace gameplayers, I'm hoping BB11 is just as good, if not better.

BBUSA is more of intellectual game playing, all HMs are strategists which in itself is a challenge to watch.

Their tasks are far more superior in terms of execution and objectives.

Plus very rarely, if any as I haven't seen one since I started watching it except Evil Dick although I rooted for him as I thought he was a master strategist, do they have weirdos & wannabees like they do in BBUK.

Can't wait!!!

Evel Dick was a master strategist?? Unless that strategy included having the producers and America's Player work for him.

Sorry to bring up that topic again...

BBUS doesn't have quite as many wannabes or 'weirdos' as BBUK, but they do still have a fair share of 'mactors' (models/actors) that are recruited to be on the show. But the good thing is, even those type of housemates still want to play the game and try to win.

We should have more info such as possible house pictures and house guest list by Monday. The contestants are being sequestered on Monday so things should start leaking then! Getting very excited!

Oh, for those who are new to BBUSA feeds, if you don't have them, you should purchase some headphones because whispering is the thing to do in the house (especially when they're talking game) and they can be very hard to hear.
