I call bullsh*t regarding the station's forecast of how many of those jackets should have been sold! They were the most disgusting things ever and I can't believe Kate actually picked them. They were worse than that stupid sequined dog and that's saying something!

I'd wear it but only for a bet.

To be fair, those sequined cat things were just as bad and could be seen as setting her up.

I think it was a case of Lorraine and Kate squaring up to each other a bit this week.....and also trying to set each other up, but I don't see what Kate did tonight deserves the criticism that she's getting. I honestly thought that Lorraine was the weak link in that task and Howard should not have gone.

The jacket looked hideous to me.

Kate would have sold them, but not Howard or Lorraine.

It was a bizarre choice from Kate who I expected to have a better eye for fashion.

Like that sexy, sexy snood?

Trying to judge what is appropriate fashion for a shopping channel is a fool's errand. If the channel say it normally sells well, I'd go with that.

What's a snood? Is it the thing Debra was flogging?

They might sell as a clubbing/party item I guess?

Yars. Well that's how I'd describe it. Even if it wasn't begin with it turned into one when she started using it as a hat.

I just pray it isn't that tie-dye one, Caro!

I actually liked the jacket and I'm sure I heard SAS say that it was one of the channels top sellers or something like that so others must like have liked it too. For me it was Howard and Lorraine doing a poor sales job that made it look awful.

Those poncho things were actually a very, very good idea - even my OH said he'd wear one! I'd say it's very good to fold up and tuck into your bag to use on a cold winters evening on the way home - would keep your neck warm much better than a scarf.

Sir Alan seemed to have misread the audience on this occasion.

He spoke very highly of the jacket and it didn't sell.

He slated the poncho and it sold magnificently.

Maybe he doesn't know it all......

He was going from how the jacket had sold in the past. It wasn't the jacket no matter how crap it was the sellers.

Now I'm confused.

I can't remember what items sold more out of that lot.....i.e. the jackets, deep fryer etc.

I thought all the items were crap incidentally

But these are tough times.

People aren't looking to splash out on extravagant coats, but very likely to go for a cheap and versatile item like the ponchos.

So your saying they wouldn't of gone for the dinosaur then?

Lol. I agree, that jacket was hideous and you know that those leaves are soon going to rip, they looked really badly made.

To me, Kate was the weak link, not Lorraine. Out of the 3 of them her sales were the lowest, after all.

I'm saying, they might only have sold a couple, and given they only lost by £200, it would have been enough.

The thing with the dinosaur was that it was a new product and had a certain novelty factor, which comes with new products.

I can't remember the price of it? But it would have been a better bet than the jacket or the chip fryer.
