It did cross my mind that Kate might have chosen the jacket for the wrong reasons, but on balance I'd have thought there was too much risk in doing that.

Whatever the reason, I find it extraordinary that it was supposed to be one of the top selling items for the channel. Even by shopping channel standards if was garish. And Lorraine didn't have the style to carry it off (although having said that, there's not many that could).

If you look here you'll note that the jacket is available in a number of colours and that gold (and also silver) are far from the most popular. Rather more subtle chocolate, black and light cream on the other hand have all sold out.

I would rather have Debra as a work colleague than spend money on such a hideous item!
