The wrong person always goes!

It was a tough call.

Lorraine was the only one to veer towards the pet dinosaur and Howard's dismissal of it is what cost them in the end.

He had to go.

I've always said that the Cassandra tag was not an unmixed blessing, and that became more apparent tonight as Lorraine was criticised for having a good idea and not getting people to listen.

But for me the weakest person on the task was Kate. Poor at selling, taking £277 against Debra's £940, and also a very poor controller. She should have told the other two they were selling the chips instead of the chip-maker, she should have reminded them to mention the phone and product numbers more often. That's the controller's job.

I think Howard looked the strongest of the 3, but wasn't what SA was looking for. But IMO you're right, I've never seen a sensible decision in these TV selling tasks.

Production wise they're perfect though. You can blame either the presenters or the product choosers and that's what you need in a final task - the ability to fire any of the three that HAVE to sit there at the end because they lost.

I think the biggest travesty was Simon surviving the TV selling task a couple of years back.

But is it really? No one can say for sure. After all, they said afterwards that the jacket and fryer were two of the stations most successful products, and they didn't sell due to the presenting style more than anything.

I think Kate did well considering that that cat thing was a terrible product. She chose what should have been the star products. Her controlling seemed more similar to the style and manner shown by the pro, and was clearly better at it than Lorraine. Clearly she wasn't as good as Debra, but that doesn't make her the weakest on Ignite on this task.

I thought of it this way. She shifted only around 10% as forecast by the channel, whereas Howard and Lorraine shifted only 5% of what was predicted and of far superior, star products. By no means brilliant, but it doesn't seem like the worst.

I think you're right. I was very very surprised when Howard was fired. I do not think he deserved to go, and that's the first time I've seen the panel on YF unanimous that SA fired the wrong person - and Margaret was on the panel!!

I thought Lorraine was a goner, but ideally I would have liked to see the overhyped Kate out on her ear.

There was not much wrong with the presntation & demonstration it could have been better but was ok.

Where they fell down was on the selling side they never puched the product and hardly mentioned the selling price or order code etc. Thats where they went wrong
