Doesn't the Sunday slot count as more 'prime' than the Wednesday one?

I'm not really in touch with these things but ISTR that weekend evening slots were at one time consdered the 'best' and where the most prestigious programmes were showcased.

(Although since BBC1 seem to have had Casualty on Saturday for the last 20 years I may be way off the mark!)

I thought i read somewhere there will be a live show on BB on the 7th...uh oh this aint good

I can remember one episode put on a day earlier, on a Tuesday. I'm not sure why the final is on a Sunday and not Tuesday or Thursday. Seems a strange decision as it's always been a weekday show and not a weekend show. The decision is totally at odds with all prior broadcasts of the show.
