Anyone any ideas? I googled but could not find..

If Howard isn't a Capricorn I will eat my own feet

Well, you've a one in twelve chance of being right. But, as astrology is a crock of shit, it will have been a lucky guess if you are right.

Im not sure what traits you associate with Capricorns, but my dad was born on 4th January so I guess he is a Capricorn. He's 6ft two, 15 stone, played rugby league until he broke his leg, is in no way sensitive or effeminate, has a beard like Brian Blessed, doesn't have a face like a wide-mouthed frog, and is in no way a "steady Eddie" or a methodical thinker. In fact, I can think of nobody less like Howard than my dad. Therefore, whatever makes you think Howard is a Capricorn from what you have seen on television will be totally disproved if you were to ever meet my dad.

And that is why astrology is bollocks.

I would love to know this too actually.

Um not going to argue with you, as you could be Taurean , but your Dad may not be a Typical Capricorn,as astrology is also based on planetary placements and where the moon, then aspects to each planet is etc, so your Dad can be sun sign Capp ,but Moon sign in Aries aspected to Mars in Gemini for example, so basically the 12 sign stuff is just the surface, and not as accurate, until you add other stuff.

Snoopy, Howard could be Capricorn, actually, or Taurus as I suspect he can be charming, but I bet anyone in in the business would have strong placements would have Aries for risky and decisive, Cancer and Capricorn, for caution and so on. I know personally someone who advised very well known high street shop using financial astrology xx

Hmm, yes I'm curious about this too, not just for Howard. I have a fairly extensive knowledge of astrology so do appreciate it's not all about Sun signs.

I have searched, like a good Geminian, but have been unable to find any data on birthdays.

But I wouldn't be at all surprised if Howard were a Piscean. Indeed one article about this week's show is headed "Howard ebbs out".

And yes, I know it's a play on words....

I'd hate to think I share a star sign with any of them - though I probably do!

Piscean with a good earth placement would you say?
It is nice to read of somebody else with knowledge. I am no expert though.

Yes, I've been wanting to know their sun signs too. I did an analysis of my class when I went to business school, and sure enough, there was a large preponderance of Capricorns - something like 14% if I remember rightly. Quite a high percentage of Librans, too - oddly enough, it's often the sign of the manager.

Anyway, I find astrology a very useful and accurate tool for quick-and-dirty personality typing, even if only for practical purposes like buying birthday presents that the people concerned are likely to really enjoy. And yes, sun signs alone aren't as accurate as the full picture, but I still find them the easiest to recognise.

So... I could easily see Howard as an earth sign - that is, Capricorn, Virgo or Taurus - but he does have quite watery-looking eyes, so I can see your Pisces point. James also has that watery look, even more so than Howard, and what an emotional guy he is - I could easily see him being a Cancerian. Yasmina's very cool and controlled, so could be another Capricorn, or maybe her cool comes from an air sign - Aquarius, most likely. Ben seemed kind of Aries / Sagittarius. Lorraine I could see as either air or water: Libra, maybe, or Cancer? Debra is a tricky one - I'm inclined to think she's a fire sign, but not sure which one to bet on. Like Ben, I could see her as Aries or Sagittarius, less likely to be Leo.

I shall continue to muse on this question, but in the meantime, if anyone has any birth dates for any of the candidates, they will be much appreciated!

Ha! As an Arian, it seems I fall into the same aggressive nutjob group.

My ego, however, is thanking me for being a cynic.

CubicEyes, great minds! - I agree with 99% of your estimates there. Especially Yasmina being an Aquarius and Ben an Aries (though I have a feeling this was confirmed somewhere..), Lorraine - I'd say Libra with Capricorn ascendant but Debra - agree with Fire but I'd eat my hands as well if she's not a Leo with a lot of Taurus in her chart. And whoever said about the Pisces for Howard.. yeah, I'm inclined to agree the more I think about it - Capricorn with Pisces rising or vice versa and James - gota be a cancerian. Oh what fun - I do love star signs! I once guessed 6 random strangers' signs right in a row after a minute or so of chat with them outside a pub. Nicky Cameron is pretty amazing at guessing right. There's gota be some truth in it!

Is there ANY proof ANYWHERE regarding Astrology .

My mum looks at her "star sign" and the one before and the one after - so she's covering a quarter of the Worlds predictions !!

I'd have had Debra with some scorpio in her sign too - she's too nasty not to have a sting in the tale somewhere!

Could Howard have some Libra somewhere too? I hope Lorraine isn't Libra - I'd be really disappointed!

Would love to know what star sign Phil is! lol
