I'm bored to the back teeth of her. She'll win, but I hope it's the last time people go on about her. I just wish she'd leave for America now...

I don't like or dislike her as a person, I don't know her well enough to have any firm opinion one way or the other.

Granted, the voice came as a HUUGE surprise once she started singing in the audition, as like most of the others I thought she was being set up as one of those deluded ones in the clip shown beforehand.

That said though, there are better singers (Shaheen) through to the finals now, as well as some other amazing acts (Diversity/ Flawless/ Julian), and its a shame that they probably don't stand a chance of winning now due to the media circus which has surrounded Susan since the first audition was aired.

Lets face it, her voice is actually pretty average, and at her age, a glittering West End musical theatre career is a non starter (not many "mature" roles for ladies, and I don't think she could get away with playing a bright young thing like Fantine/ Evita/ Miss Saigon....). Her heroine Elaine Paige doesn't do many shows any more mostly due to her age, and she looks 10 years younger than Susan does.

The best Susan can really hope for is a recording deal and concert tours here and in the US, which should set her up comfortably for the rest of her life

Shaheen could sing either of those songs way better than Susan, he's a very talented child. Susan is good, but she is nowhere near as good a singer (which let's not forget is her "talent") as the media are making her out to be, she isn't even the best singer on BGT - she's built on the supposition (which is a total fallacy) that just because of the way she looks and the fact she has done little with her life other than live in a hamlet caring for her mum, cat and doing voluntary work for her church (which is still rather admirable) that it is impossible that she can sing that well. Now that people know and have got over the shock it feels somewhat artificial - even though she is good, she is not that good.

I don't think we can read much into her outburst - partially this is down to the way the judges treat acts and she clearly took their praise of her (which was merited) literally and discarded the possibility she wasn't the only act capable of winning. By all accounts she gets on with Shaheen off-stage (as do most of the contestants by all accounts) so it clearly isn't hate or disrespect of her fellow finalist - nor would it be when she is presumably a charitable, caring person (one outburst doesn't blot a whole life of caring and volunteering), just a reaction to some perceptions and maybe a realisation it isn't going to happen for her the way they have led her to believe.

I think Susan will win, but I actually don't particularly want her to. Not because of any malice, but because it's Britain's got Talent, and so I think the most talented act should win (regardless of their background, sob stories, etc) and for me, she isn't it.

A little playful, a little fiery, a little crazy. Her recent outbursts are the real Susan Boyle. A little sweary, a little threatening and a little out of control.

Whether she has learning difficulties or not is not the issue. The fact that the real Susan Boyle is hidden under this false image that has been fed to us by the media and herself, is what it's about.

People could say that I just don't see it, and that's fair enough. But what I do see is what others don't see, and that's also fair enough. We all see different things in people, and some will always see the positives and miss the negatives and others will be vice versa.”

But you attributed "fake" to her as though it was part of her character.

Are you actually saying that she isn't fake, but the persona created by the media and presented to us (and therefore not her control) is fake?

I hope she doesnt. Her behaviour has been shokcing and she is not as good as she thinks.

Diversity are a tremedous act fit for the Queen

I've heard on the radio stations people getting sick and tired of Susan Boyle, i just really hope she doesn't win. If she does then i'm taking a vacation and not coming back until the hype is over!

Flawless or Diversity to win!!!

I'm sorry but I had to laugh out loud reading that. She's not a child, she can care for her mother and have a life too!

Susan Boyle, to my knowledge, has never spammed DS like you have.

I think we are looking at car crash TV.

They wont admit it bet theres some VERY worried execs on that show ”

This is what you want because you are sitting there drooling at the thought of Boyle crashing on live TV.

But it won't happen.

If she is at any risk of crashing like that on live TV, the producers won't let her on. She will do fine and the judges will praise her for her "brave" performance after a "tough week".

The media have whipped this non-story into a frenzy

here's a line by line comparison of her vocal with the professional singers. I think she sounds as good as any of them http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Orlc...eature=related

She sounds as good as some, and worse than others. Those amateurs they picked really are bad, singing in time isn't hard even if you can't hit the notes.

She's rubbish. Her semi-final performance bored me to tears. I actually thought Diversity, Natalie, Sue Son and Faces of Disco were all much better.

I'm glad I gave you some amusement. But my point was in direct response to an accustaion that she was "fake" and had spent her whole life trying to be noticed for her singing. If she has never been anywhere in particular, then the notice she has been trying to attract will necessarily have been limited.

Of course she has had a life. But it appears that it has been a very sheltered one (perhaps in part due to her developmental problems, who knows). I find it strange that someone attributes the characteristic of being fake, as that usually indicates that someone is putting on a different persona for some purpose.

This thread is proof positive of the destructive power of the media to manipulate people and for those people to not even realise they're being manipulated. Marx would have had a field day.

All this "I'm sick of Susan Boyle" has absolutely NOTHING to do with anything she's done and everything to do with a rabid media, determined first to craft an underdog success story (which we Brits love) and then a 'she's let that success go to her head' story (which we Brits seem to love even more).

The poor woman had no chance. Absolutely no chance. This is really ugly stuff but so absolutely predictable. I think my only surprise is the speed with which this cliche of our culture and our character has played itself out.

I don't want her to win. I don't actually dislike her, but the show feels far too predictable at the moment and if some other act wins it would vindicate the show somewhat by providing a bit of excitement.

I can't see her being able to cope with a win and the inevitable recording contract anyway, let alone a demanding stage career. It will be interesting to see what happens if she wins.... will she decide she doesn't want the contract, go back to her house in Blackburn and lead the same life she did before BGT, or will she get tied up in a SyCo contract that will probably not be in her best interests???

Don't blame the media for anything but building her up way greater than her talent. She will probably still win it on the existing media hype but she isn't the most talented singer on BGT let alone the best act totally.

I've nothing against the woman, but don't want her to win, simply because she's not the most deserving contestant: she's an amateur of middling talent, and certainly not the uber-talented artiste that some have built her up to be. Of course, she will win, but that has little to do with talent, unfortunately.
