...needs working on, because it was far from perfect tonight, but parts of it gave me goosebumps; and with a lot of work, it could be something very special, doing both the voices, amazing concept, if not performance, but that will come with more time spent o n it.

I agree with cantos.

He went in as the favourite tonight but he was awful.

It was much much worse than I anticipated

The cape and whole horror movie gimmick was awful

I was so angry at it that I didnt really listen to the singing tbh
Hello.

I enjoyed it more than Hollie's performance. Much easier to watch for a start. The last few notes were very good but he was a bit shakey throughout.

I have to say that perhaps if he was given a second chance he could have nailed it. Especially as he seemed to be worrying a little about that cape behind him. But of course there would be no time and they wouldn't allow it.

It was a bit disappointing, but I thought he picked it up towards the end!

It obviously didn't go as as well as he'd intended - but if you're not a cute, weepy 10-year-old then no second go for you!

He was still violently hot, though.

He should have been focusing on the performance not the stupid cape and staying on the podium.

Ridiculous song choice. The whole thing was a total nightmare. The final note was...good. But it wasn't enough to redeem himself.

I do think he should have got through over Hollie as he's already proved himself in the talent stakes, but I think that song was the worst possible thing that could have happened to him.

There are some nice pics of Greg in the Radio Times this week, by the way.

I actually liked his ordinary singing voice at the beginning of the song!

Really didn't think his singing was great tonight. I found his audition a bit strange but thought he sang well... tonight not so much.

I loved the idea of it, it didn't quite work, but then he was going from one extreme to another very quickly. On a recording it could be brilliant tho.

Plus the fact he had to go on after all that palaver!!!
I think he is great, far more talented than many who have gone through. I hope someone notices him and gives him the break I think he deserves.

He's not a child and many singers perform with more complex props than a cape.

Greg showed tonight that he is simply the Emperor's new clothes.

I was soo looking forward to him tonight but his performance was messy, off time.. basically horrendous sadly. The whole thing felt a mess. There were a few moments of glory which were then quickly spoilt by something horrible.

It's really sad cause I think hes got something special and I really like him. Felt sorry for him more so than Hollie. Where was his second chance when he needed one?

I can think of someone (or three ) who could pull that off live.

It was very risky the 2 parts for such important stage It didnt work.

and was the wrong song IMO.I really thought he was going to sing the Diva song from 5th element THAT would have been a show stopper.

Tonights performance didn't go well for him, but he is one talented guy. Not to mention gorgeous, I love his smile!

Violently hot - I love it

The song and the cape were the worst choices that could have been made. He looked terrified of that thing flying behind him. Could have been much better.

He should have just ripped the cloak off, got off the podium and roamed around the stage like he did in the audition
