I felt so sorry for Gregg last night. I really, really hope we will see and hear him again soon. He so deserved a spot in the final instead of the crying Holly.

Not sure he'd have deserved to be in the final.

He has a fascinating voice, but really could do with some vocal coaching. The start was pretty horrific, the timing was all over the place and even though I did enjoy the second half quite a lot, he still missed one note and wasn't breathing properly.

I hope he does keep it up though; I don't know whether it was just shyness, but I thought he looked a bit gutted at the end.

That stupid cape! It pulled his neck back on one occasion.
Who's mad idea was that?

Yes poor Greg coming up against a little girl who had already cried her eyes out and was likely to do a Natalie if she didnt get through.

I think the judges should have saved Hollie the stress of singing again, even if they did think she was better, which she wasn't.

Perhaps Simon saw Greg as poor mans Adam Lambert from American Idol.

Spot on. Poor Greg really didn't have a chance after Hollie and I did feel sorry for him. He didn't even get the one token vote like other acts because it would have upset Hollie.

I liked what he was trying to do, and he does have a good 'normal' signing voice. On another night, if everything had gone right, I think it could have been hugely entertaining and dramatic and he would have sailed through. I'm sure he has a future as an entertainer and this won't be the last we see of him.

Really tough song to sing especially when I think of the brilliant performance Freddie and Monserrat Cabella did.

Kept thinking throughout he should have had one side of his face made up like Freddie and the other side like Monserrat instead of that awful cape

Neither was Hollie, but the waterworks did the trick.

He was doomed anyway - up against Aiden who seems to be extermely popular with the public, then facing the judges with 'brave little Hollie'.

Very disappointed for Greg. I'm a bit hacked off with the stupid cape stunt.

Greg was looking down at someone for guidance in that performance and then Simon buzzing him alarmed him. I'm not surprised he could not give all his attention to his vocals - he said later on BGMT he was worried he would get pulled backwards or he'd lose his footing, the cape got stuck. But he didn't cry or complain or ask for another go, which is admirable Imo, it was too much to deal with and I don't know why they wrecked his chances by getting him to 'multi-task.' tsk.

Anyway. It wasn't a great performance, but I'd still rate him higher than the tender ten year old who's obviously ill-equipped to deal with the pressure. He has real potential and I'm sorry he didn't make it. I wish him the very best in the future.

Perfect that would have been

I agree with all these comments and was very disappointed for Greg, I really hope he has some singing lessons then, maybe, he will come back to BGT next year, and win

Agree. Am sure the cape stunt was forced on him by BGT producers to make him a novelty act. They should have just allowed him to sing. The weight of that cape must have been tremendous.

I've finally rewatched it again on Ytube. I'm just wondering, when he sang the word Barcelona for the first time, did he get his parts muddled up? Sounds to me like he did a halfway between, not one or the other of the low/high voice and then it all went wrong from there.

I was so disappointed, I haven't even been able to watch this again. I wish he would have gotten another chance to do something simpler for the final.

It was also very very clear to see halfway through that he knew he'd been a bit off and shaky.

However, like a true pro, he soldiered on and made the most of it.

He must've known as soon as he was in the vote off he'd gone. Gone out to a tantrum throwing 10year old, so clearly not ready for the big performances that anyone should've stood up, cruel to be kind and told her to nurture her talent some more and come back in some years.

Greg wasn't great tonight, but hell, there's some serious talent there! I'd rather have seen him in the final than something stupid like Stavros Flatley.
