Federico's Anti - Christmas Radio Show. 26 to 28 December.

From the Daily Record, 22/12/03 (Beverley Lyons And Lee-Ann Fullerton) news of Federico Christmas activities ...

'BIG BROTHER charmer Federico is playing Scrooge this Christmas, by hosting an anti-Christmas show on the radio.

The Scots-Italian has decided to spread some Christmas jeer by presenting his own take on the festive season on Beat 106.

Set to broadcast on the three days after Christmas, Fed will be taking over from comedian Des Clarke on the Beat Breakfast Show.

He told the Razz: ''I don't like Christmas. In fact, I hate it. It evokes bad memories for me and I don't like going out during the festive season.

''We, as a culture, should not embrace the idea of children sitting on an old man's knee, or of a strangely-dressed bearded man who sneaks into kids' bedrooms at night.''

Charmer Fed is also competing for the title of Bachelor of the Year in Company magazine and taking on the Daily Record's Tam Cowan for Rectorship of Glasgow University.

He will take to the airwaves with his anti-Christmas show from December 26-28 from 6 am-10 am when he will talk about the absurdities of reindeer.'

Hi and Happy New Year to all!

I did tune into Beat at about 9.40am on the 26th for a few minutes but Federico wasn't on Either that or I was hungover and picked the wrong station!

Was anyone else tuning in?

(P.S - oh no - I've reached Club 2000!)

9:40am on the 26th? That would have been me you heard then!Fed was on over the weekend, the 27th and 28th. I never heard it 'cos I was away although I did bump into him in the office, wearing a very bizarre Pinnochio style hat...(him, not me)

As they say, don't believe everything you read in the papers!
