Undeniably talented but I agree...just nothing 'wow' about him.

And he keeps picking 'diva-ish' songs that don't really suit a boy of that age.

The "wow" is the whole thing, same kind of thing as susan, that such a powerful, technically capable voice can come out of such a small child. Most 12 year olds his size who try and sing like that sound like a circular saw.

Needs some better songs but he is still milking those.

I agree. There's no sway or flow when he's singing. He's got a cracking voice but standing stock still isn't working the stage or the audience.

Actually an awful lot of singers are trained to do exactly that, especially classical singers.
