She sang it quite nicely. Far too tremulous (I don't think that you can reasonably call that vibrato) but she hit the right notes and didn't collapse.

So she should be proud of herself, but I don't think that it was anything like polished enough to merit winning.

Thinking about Hollie's performance, I THINK I did notice a FEW notes that weren't quite in tune. I did say she was perfection, however, I'm not really sure she was to be honest. She was brilliant with the rest of the song though.

If she doesnt win, she will probably come second and get a name for herself.

I still don't like her because she's too precocious. Didn't like the song, it was too adult for her.

Hollie sounds a bit nasally, she did well not to crack but she won't win.

She may be a budding child star,

but she's not a good singer is she???

snap thats exactly what i thought

i know she only young but there is just something about her that annoys me my own daughter is of a simillar age and i would never allow her to act like hollie (did in her semi final) in public

Aaaw give her a break, she seems a nice kid with a decent voice - personally, I think she could do with 6-10 years of training and working away, and to end up having a nice career singing, if that's what she wants.

For me, she's not an act I want to win, but that's not being mean to her.

No, I completely agree with you. I think she has got talent, but they're forcing her far beyond the stage she should be at. If they were still doing BGT in 2015 and she came back, she'd ace it.

Of course it's only natural for people to have their own favourites. I thought Hollie did well to come back after last night's setback. However I can't say I'm keen on her voice and don't expect her to win.

I think she showed quality tonight, she gave an excellent performance. Good on her. She is not my favourite though, she doesn't move me or make me think 'wow', like Diversity and Shaheen. And Stavros Flattley, love them!

A child who yesterday couldn't remember the 8 lines of a simple and very well known song.......

Can suddenly produce an immensely difficult song from a West end musical????

And people STILL think that last night was for real????

She was just ok for me, I don't think she is ready to cope with a career just yet and doubt if people would take the chance on booking her. She has time on her side and she did get an unfair advantage, any other act would not have had the sympathy vote from the judges or the public.

She was very good tonight, I must say.

She should have had her backside smacked and been sent to bed.

She will be in the finale, all the acts will, but she won't be there as the winner. If she is the judges have wasted their time for weeks, as have we who bothered to watch.
Apart from being a spoilt brat, she's no great singer.

This thread isn't serious though, is it?
I think it's a wind up.

She was miraculously more calm and confident and more able to remember her words tonight. It's like she changed into a completely different girl overnight. A warning in advance that you will not be given a second chance works wonders.

But the only time she "stole the show" was last night, where she literally stole air-time with her tantrum.

Maybe she was better rehearsed in the song she sang tonight.
I think her problem yesterday was that her voice cracked a bit, and that threw her, which is why she lost her way.

You have to remember that Holly is only 10 years old and she has an exceptional singing voice even for that age. She will soon be joining Faryl Smith.

I disagree. Hated her performance, every nano-second of it.

Diversity, Stavros or SuBo to win!

ALL stage school kids are well versed in ALL of the Sound of Music songs. That musical is one of the major showcases of child stars - all of them learn the songs on entry.

Edelweiss is one of the easiest to learn, remember and sing and Hollie "blew it" last night.

ALW songs are notoriously difficult to sing and she nailed one of the most difficult songs in Phantom a mere 24 hours after losing it in the semi..... That was a total ploy to get her into the final last night - and it worked

Somehow, I don't think Faryl will be worrying too much about that. If Holly could sing like a 10-year-old with a beautiful voice, fair enough. They shouldn't be turning her into a little adult.

Hollie was very good, much improved on last night
I couldnt believe that was a 10 year old's voice though Also her voice had too much vibrato IMO.

I'm beginning to think you might be right. Even I can remember the words to Edelweiss and I haven't sung it for 40 years. It's also got a very solid rhythm (being a waltz), which helps in remembering it.
