I think it's more the fact that he said it was the best BGT performance ever.
They were booing Piers and his comments about susan rather than at Susan, but it was still out of order.

yeah they were probably booing Piers more so than Susan but it came across as though she was being booed. Now I want her to win as she doesn't deserve that kind of treatment
They were booing Piers' comment when he said he wanted her to win - it could quite easily have been family of another act's reacting to that, so I wouldn't read too much into it.

the judges comments were bordering on the sycophantic and make them appear to be totally behind her to win, i thought piers lost the plot there mind. She is not that good, the voice is only half of the performance anyway.

Same just happened with Diversity... they booed Amanda's comments about them being better than Flawless.
